ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

I would truly love to see these Q2 dates met. Sadly, I have strong doubts that most (if not all) of these dates will not be met - prove me wrong ANOVOS... PLEASE!!!!
The race I started last year is still ongoing. Who will get an order to me first? eFX?, ANOVOS?, or RS Propmasters?

Next week is the start of Q2 2016. Anovos is estimating delivery of many Star Wars items between the date of 1 April to 30 June.

Updated just today:

I cannot help but notice:
*Original Trilogy Rebel Pilot Flight Jacket: Current estimated delivery: Q3 2016

[/B]They just announced this product and they are estimating it delivered within 6 months (Q3 = Jul-Sept). That would be awesome but I have to question if this is a realistic estimate. They could to even get packaging for the Solo holster rig done within this timeframe.

Once again, I must stress that my main complaint with Anovos is not so much about how long it takes to develop, manufacture, quality check, package, and deliver an item. It is the inability to come up realistic estimates of those delivery times.
I ALSO couldn't help but notice that there's no listing for a Standard First Order Stormtrooper Armor

Even their website states: "Furthermore, we are going to be more clear about realistic delivery times up front---projects will have a one year minimum production timeline." (bold letters by Anovos). So the times they specify for delivery seems somewhat capricious. I hope this time there's no last minute moving Q2 items to Q3, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

MJF: thank you for the update heads-up. Would have never thought about the news, no news.
Have the AtAt driver and Snowtrooper on order and I would be amazed if these came out 2Q. Personally thought by Halloween 2016 when I first bought in.
Now if they don't get one out by that time, then I would be a bit miffed. Heck, I would be pleasantly surprised if they get my Shadow trooper helmet out in 2Q.
Anyone who actually contacted company about these trooper orders, please post or direct message what they had to say.
I didn't because of all the Stormtrooper order questions/problems.

See the First Order Tie Pilot is considered a Premier Edition. Hopefully a Standard one is also available.

I just want my Snowtrooper in time for Halloween this year... You know since they originally "estimated" delivery at Q3 2015 for it.. I don't think October is being unreasonable.. But the return to lack of communicating despite all their hoopla just a few short months ago about being more open and transparent with "monthly updates" (Which never happened btw.) does not bode well to me.

Also it took them two months to reply but they finally admitted that the "on hold" part about environment system needs to be edited out to "cancelled." In my cynical opinion, it was cancelled from the moment they posted that "on hold" phrase, they just didn't want to come out and admit it yet.

A customer support staff member has replied to your support request, #[snipped] with the following response:

Thank you again for your purchase of Snowtrooper Ensemble! As you may be aware, all of our products at ANOVOS go through multiple stages of development, licensing, and safety testing before they can be released. When we proposed this item to our community, we desired to provide "Environmental Systems" within the helmets as a premium perk, with fans and a power supply to help keep the wearer comfortable while wearing their costume. After much trial and error, and with our production timeline in mind, it was determined that this was not feasible for the product you have pre-ordered. This is a decision that did not come lightly, but ultimately was one that needed to be made. It is our hope that in spite of this fact you will continue forward with your purchase at ANOVOS.

We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please do not send another email. Instead, reply to this email or login to your account for a complete archive of all your support requests and responses.

U: Thank you for posting up their message.

Company should have never considered adding the fans as an added feature.
Anything electrical or mechanical to the outfits are next level and just create problems for their manufacturing capabilities.
Do appreciate the fact they wanted to added premium perks for customers.
That's cool & decent, thinking as a dedicated prop builder should.

WTH? The Han Solo holster rig is back in testing?! I'm calling SHENANIGANS!

"*Han Solo Original Trilogy Holster Belt Rig: Production complete. Awaiting final packaging and product safety testing for clearance. Current estimated delivery: Q2 2016"

So basically since Nov 8th 2015 when the status was awaiting testing and packaging approval, to date there has been ZERO progress on this item?

I don't know when they put up for sale the Han holster rig, but I ordered the Vader helmet in November of 2014. I ordered the eFX Scout helmet a few months earlier in July of 2014.

The Solo rig was offered on 09 June 2014. It was the second Star Wars item they offered. The first item was Luke Bespin Fatigues which was offered 04 May 2014. Neither item has been delivered and both are approaching the two year mark.

Yes, but did you see that they will be offering an OT rebel pilot helmet soon?! /s

I´m sure they do.

Other companies delays are accepted since years, too. And at the moment it looks like Disney is pushing them to be sloppy on the OT stuff to sell the more actual cashcow TFA.

I received my TFA Trooper helmet in the the UK a couple of weeks ago. It's a lovely item. But the thrill of getting it is severely dampened by the extra costs.

By the time you've paid the postage (£70 iirc), and then get hit by the import duty and VAT (£72) it becomes very expensive. I estimate I paid 100% extra on the original selling price.

So if you are in the UK, you might want to work out a buddy redirect from someone in the US. Or bite the bullet and buy it from Forbidden Planet.

And to think I paid £50 post free for my CE Trooper....
