I see where they've delayed the shipping date for the holster rig until Q2 2016.

At least the safety testing is no longer an issue. But they have been listing packaging approval reasons since at least early November 2015.

It going take at least 5 months so far to develop a box. This must be one hell of a box. This thing better have a built in drone and deliver itself to my doorstep with the amount of time they are spending on it.

I really hope Anovos will reconsider making the Death Star/Navy trooper helmet

Just pretend they are and you have it on order. This way the next two years will be exactly the same (you won't have a helmet) except that you actually still have your money.

I never pre-order with pre-payment. When the item is shipping, I pay for it. Too many horror stories with licensed companies or fan makers to go this route anymore...

I know my friend. At least your "aggressive" comment wasn't directed at me like some other dude did on another thread, though I don't think he truly understood my message there. Anyway Anovos needs to reconsider their way of doing business unless they want to go EFX way.

Maybe disney just needs to keep the replica license in house and produce these replicas themselves. Maybe we would have better luck getting stuff in the original time frame instead of constant delays.

I said something like that a few months ago. I think in a thread where someone was asking about if someone had TFA prop replica license. I support that idea. Even if they were exclusive to disney parks/stores/website.

I wonder if one of the issues at Anovos is the number of items they are developing at once. They may have bitten off more than they could chew. Perhaps Disney required a boat load of costumes / props before they would agree to a contract. I dunno, just a thought. On the other hand, one would have expected that the prototype and packaging would have been approved long ago

They've taken entirely too long for getting items out to customers. If they were not licensed, just somebody selling items privately, they would have been blacklisted by the prop community by now.

The only products Disney produces in-house are in Disney Store and the theme parks, and none of this stuff can be even remotely considered collectibles. If Disney were unhappy with the current prop licensee, they would just find someone else to license it to, they would never try to produce high end props and collectibles on their own.

That may be true, and I am sure there are some Companys out there that are happy with them, but I can tell you that in this buisness model, ie, Prop and costume replicas, they are very frustrating, to say the least, to deal with

I cannot help but notice:

[/B]They just announced this product and they are estimating it delivered within 6 months (Q3 = Jul-Sept). That would be awesome but I have to question if this is a realistic estimate. They could not even get packaging for the Solo holster rig done within this timeframe.

Once again, I must stress that my main complaint with Anovos is not so much about how long it takes to develop, manufacture, quality check, package, and deliver an item. It is the inability to come up realistic estimates of those delivery times.
