ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

2 questions...
Did anything ever come of that i09 article that was looking for swindled ANOVOS customers?
Has there ever been any concerted efforts to publicly shame ANOVOS through social media? IG, FB, Twitter? Tag Disney and Lucasfilm in the posts? I know none of the involved parties could care less about the bad word of mouth but if it makes even one of the people in charge take a second look at the problem it could be worth it.

My 2 cents >
Whether those in charge used to care or not; it doesn’t change what happened, and I highly doubt they’re interested in taking a second look, or any subsequent looks into the problem. Why? Because they had plenty of opportunities to do so - and didn’t.

Even though our chances of getting our fully paid items are anywhere between slim and none, I’m still leaning on slim, at no extra cost. Public shaming would only reduce any slim chance we have left, and that would simply be foolish of us.

I don’t have an alternative suggestion to get things moving with Anovos, but we shouldn’t make it worse either.

What CAN be done, until a final Anovos outcome is determined, is to make sure these fine individuals do not get the opportunity to do this all over again and screw other people with their shenanigans (Korben FX).

No article from io9 yet, no.

And as for Facebook, Anovos has done an excellent job of immediately hiding any negative comments/replies on their own page, so I’m sure plenty of people aren’t aware of how widespread the issues with MIA orders and refunds are. And I don’t think they’ve posted on Twitter in years. Instagram was the first of the parade of new social media services that I decided not to bother with, so I can’t speak to that one.

The good thing is that at least on many Facebook collector groups people can freely discuss about Anovos and EFX and their practices. This also helps newcomers understand what is going on with these companies.

I think it is about time both of them are banned. Saying they want to keep the lines of communication open by not banning them doesn't cut it since they refuse to speak with anyone here anyways.

Not that I'm aware of.

What accounts would be banned? Would there be any noticeable difference after Anovos and efx were banned?

Banning members who are bad sellers makes sense because the Project Run forum is a way for them to generate sales. Neither Anovos nor efx have sale threads on the forum.

Another aspect is these are sellers licensed by Disney. Many of us feel they shouldn't be, but that isn't our decision.

I’m just going to drop this here

Might want to retitle the thread "Rubies and NECA take over the Star Wars high end costuming license!"

Take a look at their website also

Odd that Anovos hasn't taken down all the Star Wars items, nor issued any kind of press release. I wonder what will happen with the Star Trek and Marvel properties. If we're really lucky, some kind of deal was reached whereby all existing molds/tooling was sold to NECA and that will somehow enable Anovos to fulfill and keep doing those licenses. ( A reach, I know.)

"They also plan on fulfilling many of the existing orders of Star Wars replica and high-end collectible products originally produced by Anovos Productions."

1. Sure buddy.
2. Define many.

Denuo in Latin means again, a fresh beginning. Drop the A and the S at the end of Anovos, add Denuo in front of it and voila.
Even if this was legit, anything resembling Anovos is bad marketing. Might as well call it Newnovos.

Good effort on the logo though. Very new and fresh.

Anything with "NOVO" is basically a HELL NO!! for me my money will go somewhere else period. Hopefully folks do get what's owed, but i am sure NECA may have been, "WHAT THE HELL!! Did you guys do that you OWE SO MUCH in backlog to costumers going X Amount years back" I think NECA representatives are thinking about that one long term. Realistically if your running a company properly and communicating with customers it should have not happened....Oh WAIT!! there is a technical for that...."OH WELL??" All smells like Anovos 2.0

I notice that their product images look very similar to the Anovos images, if they are not the exact same, as well as the prices being the same. With the additional announcement that they will attempt to fulfill many of the existing Anovos orders, I am guessing that Rubies and NECA bought out Anovos and will be using their Molds, hence the "Fresh Beginning"-Novo. It's not that Rubies and NECA partnered together and were granted the "High End" license out fo the blue, but they went to Disney with the plan to take over ANOVOS's production and right the ship, and in order to do so they bought out ANOVOS.

The "many" products that ANOVOS costumers might still get will probably be those items they are currently listing, the Helmets and products that that ANOVOS had the production needs to produce in House in US, like the Molds or the Patterns. Anything like the Kylo ensemble that was wholly sourced out to CHina probably still won't ever come to fruition because ANOVOS lost the apterin's and molds to their Chinese factory and can't get them back, but anything whose means of production was present at the Texas facility has been taken by Rubies/NECA and will get made.

Looks like DN have taken over Anovos.com. At least, if I type in the address it redirects to the new DN one, but if I Google Anovos, I still. get the old site
