ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

Those prices though :eek I paid almost half that for my MonCal snowtrooper helmet with postage and taxes from the US.
 
I placed the order for the Han belt/rig 14 months ago yesterday. The latest product update ( three months ago) on the site reads:
Estimated delivery in late-May 2015. Items presently undergoing weathering process and final packaging.

Anovos has been great in talking about their development process and keeping lines of communication open, but it is discouraging that nothing from this line has shipped and that actual shipping updates don't come without prodding. Of course Anovos is in a different category (as a license holder with leadership comprised of RPF members with solid reputations), and I know they're not going to disappear with my money. Still, it would be great to get some more unsolicited information about our pre-ordered products. Quite apart from a few shipping dates that've passed, I don't think I've even seen images of production versions of the belt rigs that were being packaged in May. You gotta know that those of us who bought into the run last summer would love to see them!

Since the belt rig, I've placed three more orders from the Star Wars line. They're each a pretty decent investment. I'd love to know that these delays have been specific to this product and won't be par for the course. The excitement I feel for new product announcements is diminishing as I wonder if a focus on new products is taking time away from finishing up the ones already on the market...

I would love to order their Shadow Trooper helmet. Especially when it's still under the 1st tier price (&, let's face it... I probably will), but I don't want to. I want to wait till I get, at least one, of the many products I've already ordered from them. Or at the very least, see & read reviews of items you guys have received from them.
The wait time on the Han belt has reached eFX levels at 14 months. :( & those orders were paid IN FULL! At least with my eFX orders I'm only in as deep as a deposit.
 
Yeah I hope they don't turn in to another efx and take flakiness to the extreme. Especially when you have to pay FULL price to place a preorder. Granted I've only been waiting a few months but Westies has been waiting over a year.
 
I didn't even buy it right away - I think I just got in under the Tier 1 wire. Some people here must have been waiting longer than I have been.

I like these guys and want them to succeed! It's just strange how their communication goes. I follow them on facebook; I make sure their newsletters don't go to my spam and I read each one. I visit this thread pretty often, along with others around the RPF. I've even visited Anovos threads on a couple other forums. I'm about as captive an audience as a retailer could rationally hope for in a customer! (I say this knowing quite well that there are even more devout trackers reading this :lol ) Despite this, I don't really know when my orders will ship. I don't even know what they'll ultimately look like. I know something about different material for Stormtroopers being custom produced because it's ideal for this - but I think I also read somewhere that they won't be using it. I'm sure there's a good reason for all of it, but who knows.

I really do trust the guys running these projects, but I wish we didn't have to take quite so much on faith!
 
I'm right there with you. I want ANOVOS to be successful. I'm excited about the orders I have with them. I hope my last post didn't come across too negatively. I very much appreciate the frequent posts from Got Maul, & the emails (E'HEM! Hello, eFX?). I think that's a huge reason why we are still not freaking out (at least not a lot) about the wait time. I have this feeling once they DO start shipping stuff out, we'll be avalanched with Star Wars heaven.
Let me also say, I want eFX to turn their ship around & succeed as well. There's room for both companies to be successful & thrive.
 
Yeah I just really don't want another efx type experience. Anovos communication is great but ultimately it comes down to the products and adhering to some kind of release schedule. Delays happen all the time for all types of collectibles but it'd be nice to give a better estimate of when something is actually coming out. Some solid updates, production or otherwise, would be awesome...

Yes, exactly. I would also like to get some updates with actual photos of production as well. Kinda like... eFX just did. Oh man, are we in a parallel universe now? :wacko
 
At one point I believe Anovos was trying to work with EFX to offer a blaster to pair with the Solo gun belt/rig. I wonder if that alliance was forged... Perhaps we're actually witnessing EFX's delays dragging down the release of this product?
 
The TIE Pilot Ensemble July estimate has come and gone without any updates.... Anovos, any info you can share would be appreciated.
 
Sometimes it feels like EVERY Anovos Star Wars product has been delayed for a variety of reasons, from changes to fabric on Vader to the type of material for the TK armor. I feel sorry for the customers waiting over a year for updates( I know efx is worse), but is this supposed to be the norm in this industry?

Anovos is still pumping out new products down the pipeline. They have the FIrst Order Stomrtrooper, plans for Kylo Ren, Boba Fett, etc. I guess they're confident they will get all these products out in a timely manner. We'll just have to wait and see.
