UNBELIEVEABLE. That IS R2.
That periscope is crazy. There is so much to try and comment on - it seems silly to go down the list. All those panels being able to be opened is insane. I do like the way you positioned your fire extiguisher too. And the radar... - it's all so exquisitely, fantastically, disgustingly awesome.

You know...I'm torn...
Part of me is THRILLED that you guys are praising Wayne's R2...I've been telling him for months just how awesome it is, and he just didn't seem to believe me...
However...
The other part of me knows that all these comments are going straight to his head...hehehe...And I can assure you that is NOT a good thing
Honestly Wayne...Great job man...You should be very proud of what you have built.

dude, if your gonna do the periscope... you gotta do the saber ejection. get a hyperfirm type saber and shoot that badboy across the convention show floor. LOL.
seriously one of the best ive seen.
have you guys never seen cris lees? i cant ever remember his RPF name, but he has his real name in his sig, so i guess its ok.
anywho, his has alot o stuff incorparated... including the fog (and its thick, and comes from the body like R2s does in Empire... it also has a built in web cam, g4 imac, and an ipod incorparated...
oh and it projects a blue leia psuedo hologram.
if you havent seen it, ill PM himand see if i cant get him to do a show off...
god you guys make me so jealous, i wish i could get a high paying job, or get my music back off the ground so i could have droid mania along with you.
but i do love a good show off thread. and this one just about takes the cake.
and Womo, was there no way to get the top to spin? (i know i know, its enough.)

I've seen Chris' and his is very very sexy. The Leia thing is awesome...Even Lucas admired it at C3.
As far as spinning the top...are you talking about having the dome do 360's? If so...I have a ton of wires going into the body...I can turn it around a couple of times but have to remember to turn it back
