Another Noob Hope Luke Lightsaber

A little bit too high ;) but you notice it just in a close-up.

Third picture looks fantastic.

Will you use the grip template from parts of star wars to attach the grips in the right position? It would be of some help, I think.
You can download and print the template, wrap it around the graflex and mark the right spots.
And be sure to align the grips in the right position.

That's close indeed . . . it seems to me you cut off the strap before actually testfitting it on the center of your 3 cell bottom hence you managed to cut off to much and thus when riveted into the center you are left with a slight gap . . . it's all in my instructions how to avoid that ;) . . . nevertheless . . . when wearing it on your belt en route to Japan ... folks will notice you have a real vintage lightsaber on your hips :)

I did test fit but I think I let the drill wander a little from the center punch, and it seemed to get pulled a little bit further north by the rivet action.

I finished the grips tonight, and while I need to do some detailing tomorrow the final product is very satisfying. Not quite the screen replica I wanted to build but the experience will serve me well in the future. (There is Heiland sitting in the drawer.)
