The Projectile ESB Variant. So who's going to be a Canon Saber Ejector tube?

(you may now free post.)

Are you talking about the scene where the saber flies into Luke's hand?
If so, I believe they filmed the scene in reverse and used the hero saber. :confused

That impossible... That saber could never come to his hands by reversing the shoot.
Seriosly... Do you doubt the force that much???

I've got the collector's box handy with all the commentary by Speilburg, and they explain that scene in detail as to how they did it.

I'll check it out later, since i can't excatly remember how :lol

Commentary by Spielberg, on a SW DVD...really?

I can't recall seeing anything specific about how that moment was filmed, but I always figured they just reversed the shot. Easiest way to do it.

Did you get the version where he replaced the lightsaber with a walkie-talkie?

That's what I heard and I heard it either here or on rebelscum. It seemed logical to me, but I never analyzed the scene to see if it was true.
It still looks like the hero to me though.

EDIT: I just watched the scene again. Its composed of 3 cuts. 1 cut of the saber shooting out of the snow, another of it flying through the air, and yet another of it in Luke's hand ignited.
It's not all 1 shot.
The may have used something to eject the saber from the snow, but while its in the air, there is no reason not to believe it was filmed as a throw and then reversed and composited with the other scenes. In fact, watching in in extremely slow motion, you can even see his wrist move backward as if he tossed it.
