Well it wasn't easy, but I spent the last two months turning this into the Mandalorian version. I have to say I'm really pleased.
No one knows!Looks great! Glad to see you finish this. Great job on the weathering too.
I do have to ask about those pegs on his shoulders. What are they supposed to be used for?
Thanks! Yeah, he may be assembled, but he won’t ever really be done.I just read your whole build report. Great work!
R2 is a labor of love, and always evolving. I compare it having a classic car - it's never really done.
LOL, I just taped on some random bolts that were laying around.Wicked matt! What did you use for the horseshoe studs?
Every time I think about them adding those in Mandalorian, I just get frustrated as to why they did it. Other than to get droid builders frustrated...Thanks! Yeah, he may be assembled, but he won’t ever really be done.

Your mistake is assuming that there WAS planning going on. They just added stuff because they wanted to do something different.I have to assume that originally that R2 model was meant to support some sort of item on his shoulders (like the drink tray on Jabba’s Sail Barge) and the bolts were meant to serve as mounts for this item but ended up not being used.

"Let the fans figure out some justification for it".
