Thanks for bringing this up Saifai! I just found, bid, and won a vintage pair of the CORRECT goggles on eBay.UK. When I was originally searching these were too expensive or in really bad shape. The one's I just won are just perfect for Luke, thanks again! Preview picture from the listing

They arrived and are cooler than I hoped. I'll paint the frames and see what the dark brown leather looks like before I attempt to dye it. The elastic is going to be a bit more of a challenge to replace!

Here's the question - Were they brown leather or black?

I think this is a promotional shot. Shows the goggles great! All black and plain smooth black elastic, no leather trim on the band.

Got them disassembled

One of the lenses has a chip

Ready for satin black paint

Off to the fabric store for elastic!

Dann she matched it off of a photo of the screen used prop - it’s all paint over the generic aluminum buckle!
