Thought I'd share this here.... Figured out what the restraining bolts were actually made from. First a little background: Last year I set about finally doing a super accurate R2 build of my favorite R2. The one seen at the sandcrawler scenes when Luke and Owen are picking out the droids...

Arriflex camera lens. There’s many, there’s some that can be $10K, most can be disassembled and made to look the part. I picked my up for pretty cheap as it was a damaged lens for parts.

There’s a few on eBay now for $250 + shipping.
