ANH CAPE AND ROBE OFFER.

TMP

Sr Member
I am making the cape and Robe in ANH style with the correct lenght and the split.

I know many here has an ANH costume they are working on.

But what strikes me how few people has the split from the waist and down and the correct front folding sown in. I encourage all people in ANH project to strongly consider to join this batch of the cape and robes.

This is your last chance to get the cape and robe in this style.
The material is a wool cotton blend to make it strong, durable, lightweight, and much resistant to wrinkles.
The texure is great and it is a STRONG material not something that will rip appart.

The neck is larger and improved. Split in the side (can be sown in of wanted ESB or ROTJ) Sown in front folding. The cape comes with with leather collar and satin lining. Robe can come with lining if wanted for no extra cost.

ONLY 495.00 pr set Made to your prefferd size and lenght.
Once this batch is made its to late. LAST CHANCE TO JOIN.

Contact me trough PM if you want to sign up. I do offer an payment plan.

Pleating on the ANH inner robe? :confused

Wasn't it just gathered at the waist and cinched by the belt for ANH?

I take that is 495 US dollars? Are you in the US? Shipping price to the UK?

What is the timescale on getting these made?

Any pics? I am very interested :love

Possibly this should go into the Junkyard to generate more interest :) ?

Cheers Chris.

I belive your correct for the ANH Robe that there is no stiching.
but for ESB and ROTJ it appears they are there.

ESB note how the folding on the front is hooked up.

I will make the robe to the preffrence of the buyer.

ANH : Cape with leather collar and satin lining. Robe with split and NO front draped stitching or satin lining.
The Robe is longer and has a longer cut in the arm to compensate for the hight of the robe size it is ABOVE the armor.

ESB/ ROTJ Cape with leather collar and satin lining.
Robe with NO split and NO satin lining. Front is stiched draped effect.

As far as the split you can se it on this photo:

Regarding my ANH cod piece i belive that ANH used another cod than ESB and ROTJ
Here is a photo of the ANH cod:

Here is my version of the cod.

Now compared with ESB bellow, the above does not look like it was the same cod.

Note how more destinct the folding and stiching/ curved it is. It also appear to have a different cut.

BTW i got some of the photos from this forum...
French Vader reffrence site.
It appears one of our members are on this forum as admin.
WOW.. GREAT PHOTOS and reffrence. What a collection... :thumbsup
Why have nobody told about this forum before? :confused

:p I thought it was more people wanting this.

Hehe one thing is for sure and that is that the ANH robe has a split and with no satin lining.
So for the ANH Vader fans.. This is your chance to get the cape and robe set correctly made.
This is an essential design that is different from the other versions.

Bumping for intrest.
I will only make this batch.

You might get more of a response if you could show the finished ANH product on a mannequin or on a person in costume. Nobody wants to shell out $500 sight unseen. The ESB/ROTJ stuff is just not even close to ANH, so people are waiting for a finished product.

These are made to order. It will be made in a batch of 10 due to the production request.
Its not that hard to imagine how this will look. :confused Or is it?

Same fabric as the photo as on the previouse versions done.
Split in the robe as the photos show.
Remove the front stiching with a clean front.
Chose your lenght and size and you have it.

I have photo refference of the products we make and the detail photos, stiching and material used should speak for it self.

My customer refference and my previosuse batch shows that i deliver what i say and promise.

People still like to see photos of what they are buying though, that's the thing. I know I do personally as do many people I talk to here.

I have no doubt that your cape and robe set is very nice. I would get one myself but I have a local seamstress making mine for me.

Ok... What i will offer then if a RETURN POLICY on the cape and robe.

The item must be returned within 5 days after recived.
The buyer must cover 10% return fee and the shipping back.

This is a VERY fair opertunity if your in doubt to get one or not.

I just think it is sad so picky for some people to comment that my robe was wrong because it haa lining or not when they dont even have the robe with correct split. The split is a design factor more important than lining. Its essential.
But i seen people argue over less :lol

All in all I show with the robe show all the aspects of the robe in one go.

ROTJ/ESB Folded stiched front. Split will be sown in... No major difference to design just to sow in the split.
ANH... Just remove the folded stiched front...

Its not hard to imagine these changes... :angel

I agree, it's not hard to imagine it. It's not hard to imagine a lot of things..... but the bottom line is that pics are still nice, no matter what. :)

Hey John

What about the ESB style gloves with the wider stiching?
Are they available/ how much?

Markus :)

I am sorry marcus. We dont do them for this run. I had to little interest. if i get 10 people i can do them but for the price of 150-170 usd pair.

If I was doing an ANH Vader, I would definately have to consult your work. However, I'm doing an idealized version for myself. I have always wondered about the split in the underrobe though. I like it. Looks good. Hope you sell a few of them.

If anyone else wants to join the batch please go to the Junkyard and post under my section of Darth Vader softparts.

I am ready to start production.

The sizes i need will be lenght from neck to bottom on cape and robe.

Version wanted.

I will aslo need to know what size you use for bodysuit so i can get the correct wide.

Wondering if I could get some advice from the Vader experts?

I'm going for the 7' Vader...maybe a little big, but I'm going to give it a try.

I'm assuming Prowse was 6'8" and with helmet and boots 7 foot?? So, for the cape length/measurment, I was thinking 6 feet in length.

Does this sound about right?

Thanks for any help,
Craig

Bit shorter....about 68 - 69". You want to measure from the back of the neck (from where the collar would start) down to where you want the cape to end. Then measure down the side - top of trap, down the shoulder/arm to whereever you want the cape bottom hem to end.
IMO for a Trooping cape, you want a good 1 1/2" to 2" from the ground so you don't trip over it. For display only, you can measure right to the floor so the bottom hem edge just brushes the floor.

Good advice Kev. I said the same thing to my seamstress when she made my cape. I am going to see it tonight finally after 4 months of waiting. I hope it turned out good.
