ANH asymetric Stunt Stormtrooper Helmet WIP COMPLETE Pics Page 4 #84

Fantastic build Toxx, you really have helped in my build with the amount of pictures you have posted.
I am just at the resin stage but looking a little further ahead. I couldn't find the answer in the posts.
What did you use for the eye lenses and for the speaker at the bottom, i'm wondering if I can order something off ebay?

the eye lens is a lee lighting filter http://www.leefilters.com/lighting/colour-details.html#124&filter=cf

the aerator is a recast i've ordered from doopydoo

hope that helps

Just run through your thread - that bucket is a masterpiece! Amazing job, congratulations. Seriously wondering if I should post pics of mine, if I ever finish... It's not going to be as neat as this one!

Help needed ive just started my first pepakura stormtrooper (ive build one using rough templates as a trial with good success but now want to build a more accurate version) i got space cowboys anh pep files and some pieces are just blacked out with no way to read the numbers or se any fold tabs, are these just pieces you don't need?? Cheers guys this bucket build is amazing my inspiration for attempting my own

Hey Toxx! I cant begin to thank for all the information you have provided in this thread! Ive been following a lot of your advice and been trying to make my own Stormtrooper helmet. Really trying to finish it before the new movie comes out on the 18 next month! :D I have a problem thou. At some places in the helmet. Due to come deformation, after grinding it down too much a layer of the original paper and fire glass appear. I cant really put much more putty to cover it up as it would increase the weight and ruin the curves. But the problem is I'm not being able to get this putty-paper-fiberglass interface smooth Snapchat-5163888877030775513.jpgSnapchat-8951525755082590809.jpg enough. I've tried using fine 800 grit size sand paper also. Will i be able to cover it up later with the primer ?

I even don't know which type of putty you are using on your helmet or what kind of primer you are going to use...

So it is up to you to find out what will work for you

I've smoothed out all surfaces using polyesther-based car body filler like "bondo". The primer comes from the same range of car repair products just like the spray cans.

Would be nice to see more pictures of your build, do you think about your own WIP-Thread?

Use the opportunity today to compare my scratchbuild Pepakura ANH Lid with some real thing RS Prop Helmets at "Dantoine"

Thank you, R2Dan for the nice time!

Also take the chance to pick up my own Kit ;)
