im pretty sure hes talking about the post above his......or at least i hope he is
i'd invest in a dremel tool and make grooves instead of hand painting the flat surfaces. also, you could have added clay or wood putty to the grips to fill in the checkers instead of sanding it down. also, filling in the wording on the slide would have been a better option pre paint. the compensator vents need to be rounded at the bottoms and there should be an extra round hole near the very front middle of the compensator. i also think more time could have been spent smoothing the finger spike and the squared end of the trigger guard. as a solo first try, i'd say its pretty good, but i'd take all the comments here and attempt a new one man. the tips would make it look ten times better.
EDIT: I'd also shorten the compensator. try measuring the gun you have from front to back of the slide, and then scaling a picture of the gun to that size. this will give you the ability to judge the lengths and widths of the ornamental markings and compensator as well as the placement of the vents. And as a side side note, the grip could be painted in an offwhite color for the ivory imitation as opposed to keeping it brown.
I am. The base you used is still way closer than that airsoft above.
The back part is close, but the grip needs work and of course the front part is not close, but its possible to make a good looking Wanted gun from it... After all, its still a cool, useful gun for this price...
And I think it works to modify it...

im getting spot putty today.
we're moving again.
Looking great man. I love this. Working with what you have and having fun doing it. It's that kind of spirit that makes this hobby fun!
Keep it coming brutha!
the finger groove looks a lot better, but there's still more work to be done. Out of curiosity how many times did you sand, reapply, sand, reapply, sand, etc on the frame? Spot putty works awesome given you take the time and sand it smooth. Try applying it in a manner that doesn't give off airbubbles (easier said than done, I know).
Overall though i'm really impressed with how this gun is turning out. Paint job doesn't look too bad, but the scribe work is really throwing it off.
Looking forward to seeing more progress, it really is turning out a lot better than I expected.
