ive got a little update on the suit

just bought some of this motocross armour to use as my pred armour

i will paint the hard plastic parts silver and weather them

the armour comes with a sort of flexible material undersuit which is attached to the hard armour parts
eventually im gonna make an attempt to latex these parts and paint them like pred skin
it might be a bit awkward to do but hey i might be pioneering some sort of revolutionary pred torso hehe
if all goes well i'll attempt to make a huntorial.

ok so just after i bought the new pred head i got the opportunity to buy a head that better suited my ideas for my costume.
so i'm selling the other head with a set of dreads.

heres my new pride and joy ^_^



the guy i got it from told me it was made by suckface studios
so if this is indeed your work suckface
i salute you

also joe (bambooie) emailed me a few days back to tell me that my dreads and beads are on their way to me and should arrive around the 17th of june
so i'll be replacing the latex dreads on the new pred head with bambooies high quality ones

and since my mysteria sized bio wont fit on my mask im going to be purchasing one of hez' P1 bios and doing the same design and paintup on it
*despairs at having to redo the lasers*

Is it that grey one without the bullet mark that mysteria has on their site?

im not sure if its actually mysteria
i got it raw from ebay and it didnt really say anything about its origins
it looks like a mysteria though and is the same size.

update :]

my dreads arrived from bambooie and theyre flawless
im really happy with them so work on my suit will be resuming this weekend

thanks :] heres a few new pics
cut ridges into the "halo" (theyre a bit uneven at the moment but i'll sort it out later ) and carved some glyphs into the right "eyebrow", the laser part and right side of the halo.
and put some battle scars down the left side
and added the alien trophy scar on the right cheek.
also put on a few other bits and bobs to make it look a bit more tribal-ish.

(the black spots are places that ive had to fill because there were bubbles)

im still waiting for my lasers to arrive and i ordered a pack of 3 laser shrouds from Don's place
(i decided to go with lasers rather than the L.E.D's)
once they arrive and ive fitted them i'll be painting it up
so i'll keep you posted .

well ive been away for a while due to moving homes dodgy internet connections and dodgy finances.
and it is with a heavy heart that ive decided to sell the bio helmet with dreads which i made in this thread.

with landlords being the vile creatures that they are and the economy/job situation being the way it is ive been forced to sell pretty much everything i hold dear lol
and this mask falls within that category

i'll put a new thread in the sale section in the next few days.
pm me with any interest in the mean time.

So ive been away for a while and havent posted much due to moving house twice, being internetless and working.
but i took these to show a friend and thought i'd put them up here
only cameraphone quality but meh

i wont be doing much predator related for a little while since im currently working on a project car
but i'll be back eventually to resume this suit.

This is a noob question but what lights did you use? where did you get them? I know this is an odd question but i would be grateful if you would answer or let me know if you dont have an answer. If anyone else a suggestion it would be great!

Really nice job transforming the bio,with the edges and designs ect.Where did you get the bio,is it from Hez?Also the stand is really cool,love the symbols engraved into the post and the bottom,the skulls on the bottom are a cool touch.Speaking of the skulls,are they from a model kit?How dod you attach the helmet to your post stand?Do the designs on the stand translate to anything,or are they like tribal symbols?

by lights do you mean the tri lasers?
i just got them from ebay and wired them up myself

i got the bio from a guy in canada. i beleive its a mysteria bio but im not 100% sure. its mysteria sized (more the size of a human head than a predator head)
the skull pile was a candle holder, i just dremeled the middle out and inserted a piece of black drain pipe. also i used a hefty piece of cylindrical aluminium for the bottom so it doesnt fall over.

the helmet is attached to a baseball cap with velcro (the dreads are stitched onto it) and that just sort of hooks over the top of the stand.

the symbols are just random predator symbols, they dont translate to anything.

i may be selling this bio with the dreads and dread rings
i really dont want to sell up but i lost my job recently and im part way through restoring a car so i cant afford to carry on with the suit
and i need all the money i can get my hands on hehe
(ive already sold one of my beloved guitars among other things )

i'll be selling it quite cheap
so if anyone is interested just send me a PM

i'll be putting it up in the for sale section in the next few days
