Would any of the experts here be able to identify this ROTS replica? I got it second or third-hand and was sold as a Korbanth/89sabers replica (and came in an 89sabers box). It's generally close with several hallmarks of the Korbanth as seen earlier in this thread -- the slightly flattened ears, the general look being based on the MR hilt, the eye/button paint, etc.
However, certain features don't match what I can see here and in a demo video posted by Korbanth that cover their V2 version of this saber -- for example the blade retention is done by the flat socket screw above the "glass eye" instead of the "red button" as the video shows. The covertech standoff protrudes too much, and the blade plug is way off (poor fit in the socket, and the the brass stem is much too long). I wonder if the plug is not original to this piece anyway.
If it's not the V2, would this then be the first version that 89sabers did about 4 years ago?
