An ode to dreds

Oh dreds, why dost thou hate me?
You collapse when you should stay firm,
and stiffen when you should be floppy.
I pour thee into the mold,
expecting the same result as last time,
after all, it worked of old.
Alas! Something has changed,
but what, I do not know.
Back then I go, to the drawing board,
to mix and pour, and pull.
For a dred that works not just today,
but tomorrow and the next day as well.

This is dedicated to all the fine folks out there who have ever tried to make their own dreds using any kind of 2 part foam. And for those of you who haven't tried it, perhaps the above verses will give you some idea of just why not many people make these!
