AMT Romulan

The R2 AMT Romulan from TOS.

It's not a very good kit, But the only difference from the '70s kit is they include the correct nacelle caps and include the plasma emitter.

I tried to fix it up a bit.

I added the lip on the top of the hull, angled the front of the hull, made the aft upper and lower hull concave, and filled the huge gaps.

The wings are still way too long, and the hull is too short.

Nice job with that old kit. What paint brand & colors did you use? Did the decals apply okay?

The paint is testors modelmaster gloss gull grey. The paint did come out nice, just the old fill,sand, prime repeat. It took a lot of work but it was worth it.

The decals are typical R2. Brittle and hard to deal with. But in the end I got them down.
