Amazing Spiderman Build (Taylor McManus)

wow.. between this and all the other projects I want to take up after joining therpf, I may not have a social life! haha

I noticed that you are quite active in ASM thread so I want to ask for your opinion.
Was there a reason why you chose the Taylor/DGP suits over say Mcl34n's?
curious because im torn myself.

Thanks!
Hope mine will look as good as yours when I eventually get to it

Taylor's took a long time to get.
I bought DGP's as a backup incase I didn't get it in time.
Then started painting.
Once I saw people finishing their DGP's I decided quickly to use Taylor's once I received it before the deadline....
Then started over painting.
Which sucked.....

You sir, have answered so many of my questions, Mercy. Thank you. You say to paint while the suit is not sewn, but I'm 5'7'' which is short, but I have pretty long legs too, and I'm afraid after I paint it I won't be able to adjust it to my narrow-self.. Is height, weight, and waist size going to suffice, or should I give the seller more info than that? I was just wondering how you adjust the suit to fit you once it's been painted.. Thanks for the time, and great suit, buddy.

Wow mercy, this is not a press or whatsoever ,don't have to showcase your 'talented ' speech . You know I don't rly care about what others say ? I meant don't interfere because it's very common for people to bud in,just like now I'm talking to you and other people SAME (do not have a spidey suit etc) would comment too when it doesn't concern them . Will you think about it? And yes ive alr paid for the dgp print with joes lenses ,waiting to be shipped. Which is why I'm curious to why I can't create a thread when I've posts over 20 and activated my acc alr . This could go on and on again but I feel I'm wise enough to step out from this conversation . Cause the results many would know ,leading to unnecessary ban of users . Well I'm done .

Why in Sam's pit sweat are you telling the author of the thread not to interfere in the first place. That's like walking up to a register at the grocery and telling the cashier not to help you. The hostility is not needed. Lets keep it cool, cats!

Really awesome build by the way! Makes me excited to finally start mine.

Sharpshooter < because I wasn't talking to him. If you read again it was NOT referring to his suit ? His suit is awesome I think that's a duuh !?

*snip*

Unless you have a mannequin you really want to paint first. They can still sewn with the puffy on there. Once it's been sewn the puffing takes longer and you get crinkled areas that you can't get into to paint. And even if you spread those areas out well enough they still need to dry and not smoosh your hard work.
It just takes longer basically.
Painting is critical for straight black slick puffy lines. Especially on the mask.

Why are you so tempted or a mclean print? I'm not questioning quality just curious.

MCL34N's print is what started the gold rush for ASM suits.
From what I understand, (speculating) and from what Ive read on other threads for the past 4-5 months is that many other suit builders used MCL34N's for reference with their patterns. Some used it for good, others bad.
Regardless his does not have flaws so Ive read.
No thigh puckers, easy to assemble mask, no pointy fingers.
Most of all, this black webbing lines all meet and match each other.
It is a true replica.
Other than MCL34N's suit sonjou's, carl9148, and TaylorMcManus 's suits are the best out there.

I do not own a sonjou and carl9148 suit but from what I have read and seen they look awesome. I am not aware of any flaws that they have, if any. Taylor's lycra from FOD is the best I own and the colors are very rich.

Buying a file that the a lot of the sellers are offering seems like a great deal.

Thanks everyone new to the thread for the kind words.
Any questions and I will try to help out.

Getting some PM's about which color red. So huryago.

Thanks for the tip, mercy. I wasn't aware you could sew to fit even after it's painted. I do plan on making a duct tape mold though, even still. But yeah, you've been a big help, and will be seeing me again soon, but next time with my own 'work in progress' thread. Thanks again. Love your suit, buddy.

Sweet!
Look forward to it.
I was overly cautious asking around about that too.
Surprisingly no one seemed to flinch when I asked or showed them.
I would have thought the paint would clog up the machine or something I dunno.

The zippers, mask, and hands are tricky. For experience check out TrophyWife's thread. Shes got the extra experience that these suits I think require.
