Amazing Spiderman Build (Taylor McManus)

Don't interfere pls mercy .

Have you even made a suit yet?
Or are you still "planning on getting a suit"?
Because if you had started making a suit you would have known to paint it takes over 70 hours. Which means you have worked hard on it. Too hard even. You were PM'ing me about sonjou's suit in Sept. A suit I have never owned nor seen in person. Did you get one? Did you get DGP's? If you did would you have the courage to put yourself out there to get scrutinized by fans who know probably know more about your costume than you do? And by artists that could easily make one better than you???
Instead you have spent 70 hours asking people to PM you for your own questions. And dog other peoples work who have full-time jobs, kids, checking account over drafts, needy girlfriends, and cats that keep sitting on wet puffy paint.

Keep on kicking those tires.

Really?? YOU SIR HAVE THE MIND OF A TRUE SCHOLAR (telling him not to interfere). It's mercy's thread! AND he was stating his OPINION.. :angry (I'm replying this to mercy so he knows im on his side.).

^^^^
Ha right?
I'm just startled by the gall of both those posts.
Anywho. Over it.
This thread is dead anyways until I finish the blue, add black webbing, receive faceshell, add markpoon shooters.
I am seriously dying for a MCL34N print to start over with.

BOOM! lol Im sorry but guess what.... all suits have imperfections! People just need to get over it because NONE of yall are really spiderman so it doesnt matter. :confused

Its ok to enjoy spiderman and get in to the whole costumes etc but to basically be a bully online is weak.

And Mercy, once again, your thread is derailed. :lol

All we know is that the amazing spiderman doesn't exist yet. But the Ultimate Spider-man does exist because it is ME! I have the build, skill, suit, height and strength to almost be the Ultimate Spidey. and im 16. haha. That new cartoon on Disney just reflects exactly how I act. Its unreal. XD

Oh man, I thought I was the only one. Two weeks of practice paint on white spandex left untouched, then the first day of actual costume painting....the $%^*ing cat steps on it!

Haha I understand.
You go cross eyed and forget where you've been.
I can't tell you how many times I layed my arm or other hand in a pile of wet paint. One small area is like 30 mins. Agonizing rage.
Honesty I would stop practicing. You'll hate it once you have been in 5 hours and you just finished the left leg....
I recommend doing the stair method then go back in and fill in the little lines.

Crude dittle there but hopefully it helps.
Start with the legs and do the chest and mask DEAD last till you get the hang.
Everyone gets excited and starts with the mask.

After 30 hours you will be waaaay better than you thought you were in the beginning.

Oh and the most important part.
Paint before sewing. You must trust me.
Then get TrophyWife to sew it.

Getting the metal bottles tips is a necessity.
Got mine at Michael's in the puffy paint isle.

Get Black Slick, Navy Slick, True Red Slick

Please ask if you have questions. There will be a lot.
Also maybe get your Asic's 1' 1/12 sizes smaller than you normally are. I wear 11's, sometimes 12's and I ordered a 10 1/2 and they are waaaay off.

Then buy wet suit socks.

Thanks! I'm painting the black first, then tackling the honeycomb. I'll start a build thread over the weekend once I have a few more pics.

Agreed. I learned that from your build thread and many others. I hope to finish painting in January and use my tax return to send it off to Trophywife.

I love Michael's applicator bottles!

I might have a surprise coming soon that will allow me to skip the painting (at least for the webs and spiders)... I'll post photos soon. :love

Question... what size aqua socks work best? Super low cut (below the ankle) or higher near the calf?

^^ I also went with the calve aqua sock. I was worried about the top of the sock giving away a definitive line on the suit but it wasn't bad at all. I know Fett went with a shorter sock though.
