I put zippers in and sewed as close as teeth as allowed....

Ok. I found out why I can't get to that completely invisible look..... I don't have the sewing foot for my machine. It takes the teeth as far over and then sews under teeth. So I will look into getting ine of those.....
On other hand, there is still only so much I can do by hand. Here is spidey4fun suit that even shows zipper some.
I'm not by all means saying I'm perfect. Ive had a few classes and just experience frown doing all my husband's suits. Like told mercy, I know enough to be dangerous. Lol

You're doing very well TrophyWife! I have no skills in sewing whatsoever! I rely on talented people like you to do the sewing. Here are photos of my newly sewn ASM costume (received it Weds., it's a sonjou print....unfortunately I ordered the wrong size, so the fully sewn suit is now for sale in the Junkyard) and an older Raimi (which I've had and used for 4 years, it's the one in my avatar photo... and had the zippers replaced probably 4 times... typical for invisible zippers and the 90 degree bend!). The Raimi is really almost totally invisible on the sides.

Lol. Well thanks for kind words..... I'm my worst critic..... I am now about to go to my brother machine store to look and see if they has that foot....... now I just need to keep improving....

Hey, thought this might help...Here's a great video of where I learned to sew an invisible on youtube. Sewing an Invisible Zipper, CRAFTOVISION - YouTube
She shows you how you can do it with out the invisible zipper foot. Of course it will be alot easier with one, but it is possible to do without it. If you do get one, make sure its not a universal one that has different attachments. Those don't work well. I got one of those initially, but they move too much. We ended up sewing mine with a regualr zipper foot and it came out great. If you want, take a look at my build on my thread for pics.

Are you guys saying that the DGP mask doesn't have enough extra fabric at the bottom to tuck it into the shirt part of the costume (if you choose to have it remain a detached mask)? Trying to understand what you and dnasty are saying about it.

sounds like this is the case since the dgp print has the low neckline. i'm sure you know this well, peter, but for anybody who isn't familiar, a separate mask (based on the other patterns) usually requires the printing of a spare mask so the one attached to the print can be cut away with enough material left on the neck so there's no gap when the separate mask is tucked in.
If somebody just cuts the mask off and hems the neck line, a gap will result.

To answer this big mask question.
The ASM suit so far, it seems that the Taylor McManus, and DGP suit are to be sewn with mask attached.
Until the files change (which isn't necessary), the only way to have a propper removable mask without skin showing is for the seller of the file/print to add a additional mask. As in, 2 masks on one print.

Dgp's suit is made for a detachable mask, but he doesn't add enough fabric for the neck to be covered. Gaylord mask attaches from the shoulder to the mask, dgp's just cuts the neck straight across

I see what you guys are saying, u want that turtle neck thing to tuck into!
My mind isn't all there with the halloween rush and finishing costumes without breaks.
The new version 3 is in production.. I have included a turtle neck option extra peice to be sewn in.
Version 3 features. Accurate sections. Smaller red center on chest. Accurate spider. Better accurate hands. Decided to do the same thing that mclean did and shade Under the webbing and under the red detail that surrounds the webbing. Ill include pics soon

I put the lenses on and marked where they went. My eye holes are penny sized, it seems small, but I wasn't using a shell, and my eyes were in the hole so I could see perfectly
