Oh, well that's too bad. I agree though, the moleskin looks a little too bright.
 
Oh wow, this is exactly the kind of thread I've been looking for. I heard that screen printing yields a better result than dye-sub, even if it is a bit more expensive and takes more time.

How does screen printing compare to dye-sub, in everyone's opinion? What are some first-hand differences you've found? I also want to make a suit with coloured lycra instead of printing ink onto a white fabric, so which method should I be looking into?
 
Something I just thought about: if we order pieces ready to sew, will they be sized at all? Or is it just going to be a "one-size-fits-most" kind of thing?

I have a main template that I can easily adjust when cutting out patterns... I've not had a size I couldn't yet custom fit! [emoji6]

I like the sound of that! I'm a standard build. Orhadar's patterns fit me like a glove.

I'm curious what your current status is. Waiting for more samples?

Always looking for better (ain't we all?) and as the move suit looks different in so many shots (from promo pics, on location snaps to pics of it in the glass box on display) I'm happy to start offering different shades of red to suit the buyer... Will upload a new red tomorrow to see what you all think [emoji16]

I could try, the red fabric really needs to be polyester, cotton or a blend of both not nylon!!!!! This is because we want the water based inks to "seep into" the fabric fibres and become part of the fabric and not sit on top like the blue fabric. Nylon does not absorb water based ink. [emoji17]

Oracle, is there some limitation keeping you from using silicone-based inks like the ones used on the Man of Steel chainmail texture? They make ones that result in a raised print - puffy, but crisp. It seems ideal for the blue. If the web lines were printed this could help to emulate their depth/thickness. Best of all, it will stretch easily with the Lycra.

Hey man I didn't know if you knew or not but they actually screen printed the webs on the movie suit. So maybe we could find out what they do I wish they would go into detail on that stuff
