Hello everyone. I recently joined therpf last month but I have not posted an introduction in the thread yet. My name is kiyominai, and I just love the work everyone does here. I've been more of a casual browser on the board and I finally got the guts to take on a TASM2 suit (orhadar's print).

While I'm waiting for my order to come in, I took a screencap of the file to a local seamstress and asked if she would be willing to take on the project after I puffpaint it. She had a question about the seams:

1) How are the seams usually finished?

Also, since I know a lot of you are more skilled about this than I am, would it be alright if I post questions here?

Go with a stretch stitch. It's fine to ask a question here.

Hey NewBlood, thanks for replying man. I'll let my seam stress know. She's asking me a lot of questions. Only because she knows it's an expensive hobby and she doesn't want to mess it up for me.

Here's a pic of trophy wife's sewing for when she sews spidey suits image_zps05a63389.jpg

TrophyWife is seriously the best at keeping up good contact and providing updates ASAP. I've not yet gotten my suit back from her, but she makes you feel very comfortable with using her services. I recommend her for her customer service alone.

Can anyone tell me how I can get om contact to have my suit sewed by Trophy wife , Many thanks people, im a newbe and just starting out, input and advice would be great 2 :)

Hello guys,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a confirmation about using fabricondemand.com

1) I go to Upload Your Design
2) I select Lycra/Spandex (Polyester) under the Fabric Selection
3) Do I select Centered under the Layout option?

Put the image in Photoshop and go to image>image size and see the tab that says 'pixels' well change it by clicking the arrow to inches and see the measurement for the longest side whether its the width or the height and divide it by 36 inches (1 yard) if its a bit over a yard or two crop it a bit without wrecking the pattern if you cant crop it like say for example it was 60 inches round it to 2 yards. Hope that helps.

Hello, thanks for repyling!

I'm now at the page that asks about the yardage... the quantity is at 1 so far, do I have to change it?
Don't do any of that BS on the main page of the website, stop. STOP. Just email FabricOnDemand directly and tell them you are working on a Superhero suit. They will send you an email with a direct link to their large file uploader and a list of all the steps you need to take. They will calculate the yardage for you once you've uploaded your file, they will make sure they are printing on the right lycra, all of it. They will send you a preview photo for you to approve once they've set up the printing layout.

Dude, Lunaman! Thanks for the save, bro. I was wondering why fabric on demand would ask me about which fabric I want if I had already selected it on the previous upload page.

Okay, a little update. Fabric on Demand shipped my print yesterday. It took a while because I ordered three prints (one for me, and two for my friend's twins)
