Aluminum cast Clone Trooper Helmet

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

Whoa. The Gree is just...whoa. Outstanding.

The interior actually looks functional, and dare I say, comfortable?

This whole thread is just absolutely next level.

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

thanks again. well… comfortable, I d say yes but also no. for the yet finished helmets its extremely hard to get inside with all those stuff in it. and also to get out> claustrophobia? the padding itself is awesome. I tried it without the mouth piece and it really feels like a kind of motorcycle helmet.
the shock trooper helmet is also finished now. I ll make some photos the next few days when the light is better. here are some pictures from the padding itself. its looking like a piece of crab though…. but whats inside counts.

:eek Insane! You should be very proud of these lids. They look outstanding.

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

Absolutely FANTASTIC work!

I have always wondered why no one has ever attempted a "realistic, in Universe" helmet that looks like a real peice of military hardware and I think you answered my question!

That was one heck of a lot of work you did!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

you are very talented, I cross that one can truly speak of art

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

Fantastic, love the details inside the helmets as much as anything else, that's a very complete job you've done there. No corners cut!

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

heres just one picture of the gree helmet padding. as you can see all the paddings are a little bit different. the gree is already nearly finished, but I ll add pictures when all the technique is put inside and the padding is really fixed in. even though the helmets are heavy, with the padding inside I d say they are pretty well to wear for a while.

Absolutely incredible! I really love the interiors too. Any chance of doing any stormtrooper helmets? Boba Fett?

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

Truly masterful work; wonderful quality inside and out! I wish I had the talent and resources for such an undertaking.

well, maybe sometimes, but after a long, long break. these days I m very happy all of these work is near to be finished now and I ll have more time for my normal artworks again. But well, the boba and the stormtrooper helmet are also my next favorites, so maybe after some years. there was a guy who already made boba and jango aluminum helmets though, I think his name was handschaub. and of course, I'd like to have a full metal clone armor someday too.

well, at least one little update: made a nice little base stand for the shocktrooper the last days on wich an acrylic glass showcase will fit on.

Any chance you'd be willing to give some foundry advice to someone fairly new to it? Absolutely love your work, the helmets are incredible.

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

Do you have templates for the interior padding? It's amazing [emoji7]

Re: Aluminium cast Clone Trooper Helmet

well, nekomuffin. most of the things how a cast is done, you can see here in the tread. but of course, if you ve got any question just tell me. of course I am no founder myself, as I said, but everything I know I can share. but its just one way to rome:)
@agester: unfortunetly I dont, I ve got some "templates" out of the padding material for the biggest areas, but some of the structures were developed while making. I m also not really into these CAD or digital drawing stuff right now, but I ll draw the far shape of the parts I used and add size to it the next few weeks when I got time. I think if you can sew just a little bit, its not really hard to make such a padding, especially if you dont need these bags for the technical stuff like for my resin version.

now, my little new base is finished, just have to bring home the acrylic glass showcase

and with an extra padding so the neckring would be never hurt by the stand:). I used some cord fabric because its a little reference to the ripped clone untersuit
