Seriously... if you can get down to Christies on 49th St. at Rockefeller Center, by all means GET DOWN THERE. I already have a thread going on it

http://www.therpf.com/index.php?showtopic=...38&hl=Christies

but felt it deserved extra mention. Tuesday (today) is the LAST day for viewing. Costs $25 to get in (or free if you bought the catalog).

Access to the items for auction is AMAZING. Hands-on in the case of the costumes. This goes for ALL movies and series incarnations... a fantastic collection JUST of uniforms.

But there's much much more... dozens of SPACESHIP miniiatures... the hero filming miniatures of the 1701-A, 1701-B (the Excelsior from Trek 3, now marked "Lakota"), the 1701-C (now Yamaguchi), 1701-D (the big 6 footer.), 1701-E from First Contact... the Reliant (now Saratoga), the 6-foot K'Tinga Klingon cruiser (still detailed as the Chronos One from Trek 6)...

Spacedock from Trek III, Regula One space station (built as Office Complex from TMP)... the Work Bee from TMP, the Drydock from TMP... many many alien ships... the USS VOYAGER, the DEFIANT, DEEP SPACE NINE... :lol

Everything must go. :D

The one thing the auction is "light" on... is props. No real hero props to be had, from any series, and NO props at ALL from TOS. Precious FEW from TNG (just a couple rubber stunt phasers). No props at all from the movies (except First Contact and later), few from DS9 (tho notably the case for the Orb of the Prophets is on the block)... little from Voyager but a number of items from Star Trek Enteprise.

Anyway get down there if you can... or you'll regret it if you choose to skip out. :D

(tragically I was NOT allowed to shoot photos... so no photography to tempt you this time. :( )

I stopped by after work yesterday to check it out.

Definately worth the price of the catalog to get the tickets. Door price would have been a bargain. It was great to be able to walk right up and pull the costumes off of the rack, even the few from TOS. Seemed to me like there were plenty of props, but none at all from TOS as pointed out.

All in all it was a lot of fun. George Takei was even there.
