Thank you Russell-El (or is that Yor-Crow?). Yes that is indeed what I meant. I remember from one Drop-ship picture gallery that there was an Halcyon APC with corrected tyres. Wasisi could down scale his tyres but I don't know what became of his APC-project now that he has switched to the BSG Viper. The Halcyon kit is good but the tyres most definitely are a terminal let down. Never understood how they accepted that terrible option after having payed all that licensing money.
IIRC the Halcyon kits were made from copper alloy moulds, much cheaper than steel ones but softer. It may have been a compromise to do with that. Slide moulds hadn't really become common at the time either so with older mould tech it just might not have been possible, at least not without going to rubber tyres.
If I can find my APC kit I'll measure up and work up some accurate wheels for Shapeways or something.
