'Aliens' Bishop flashlight?

I've Googled and searched everywhere but I can't find any info on the tube style flashlights like the one Bishop used in 'Aliens'.

I found 2 nice pics on Harry Harris' website but there's no model number or brand name given.

Has anyone found one of these?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's the one. The side you can see is the same except for a few markings by the dial.
This one's not going to be easy.

Ok, wait a second... on the Harry Harris website, he says this about the flashlight/torch...

The torch (flashlight) shown here is similar to the one carried by Bishop and Ripley. The torch originally had a four-function switch, but has been rewired internally to allow the front lamp and the fluorescent tube to light up at the same time, as in the film.

Are we sure the GE model isn't the right one?

I have one- but it's not a GE model that I have:

Here is the box- very little info from it:

The model number on the box is "AL-100".

On the bottom of my flashlight (which is the battery cover) is a silver reflective sticker that says "Multi-light 6 in 1".

Although very close- mine might not be the "exact" screenused model.

I found this on ebay in 2008- my search included "3 in 1", "4 in 1", "multi" and "emergency" flashlight.

Thanks Kevin! That's some great info and I think the one you have is the same one as seen on screen.

Hey thanks!

I found this pic on my HD of the screen used torch (from the Quad disc 4)-

It doesn't have the "grooves" in the battery cover that the GE one has.

Nice to know I do have the right one. :) :thumbsup

Sweet! Looks like it's been painted olive drab. Actually it's probably Brown Bess but in that pic it's O.D.
Good shot of his jumpsuit too.
Thanks for the pic!

That pic looks like if you wrote you Bishop and asked "Got any pics of your flash light?" It's exactly what he'd send back to you.

Oh man, I bout one of those at a yardsale years ago, and had no idea that it was a prop, so I think I let someone throw it out, when they said "this is taking up too much space, you have too many flashlights as it is." :(

Regarding the statement "The torch (flashlight) shown here is similar to the one carried by Bishop and Ripley. The torch originally had a four-function switch, but has been rewired internally to allow the front lamp and the fluorescent tube to light up at the same time, as in the film." on my site, I included the words 'similar to' in case people thought it was the actual screen-used prop.

Also I'm pretty sure the torch wasn't painted.

Hope that helps,

Harry
