Rest in Peace Yaphett Kotto - you fought the good fight against James Bond, the Alien, and even fought side-by-side with Arnold Schwarzenegger against Richard Dawson in "The Running Man".

Probably one of my worst celebrity encounters. He was signing autographs at the Hollywood Show, and wouldn't even look into the camera when my buddy and I paid for a photo op. He wouldn't even acknowledge our presence.

I built these years ago, I used Military cord for vests. I will see if I can pull up the MILSPEC I used. I remember it is WIDELY available.

YES Merliners wings. Best in the Biz.

Also his shoulder Nostromo patches (I think it was him, sorry was years ago.) as these are not the ebay knockoffs.

I studied those for hours and hours! But I have never seen that silver version! His work is what inspired me to do this:
Alien / Nostromo Uniforms
and then this:
ALIEN Nostromo Wings, Screen Accurate, GOLD and SILVER, HANDMADE $58 per piece
And eventually this:
Interest - 1979 ALIEN - NOSTROMO CREW SHIRT - Accurate Reproduction

Very very nice work!

Remember piping just goes under and not inside edges. I thought that was a hasty choice by the original costume designers. They did such a great job until the piping.

It's true the piping is under the collar due to a rush job, but I like the piping between the collar parts as it would be if it was a real article of clothing a company would issue.
