Hello Everyone,
First post here and I thought I would share a ten week long project I did for my Industrial Design class. Some of you may already know this but much like Adam Savage, H. R. Giger’s background is in Industrial Design. So I chose to redesign a desk fan with Giger’s biomechanics design language. It started with initial sketching and went into a Zbrush 3D Model that was 3D printed. The model was then sanded, painted and finished with a gloss clear coat. I also did some packaging design based off of a previous build done by Adam Savage for his Bladerunner prop pistol. It’s basically a plywood box covered with Tolex with a black felt interior. Weathering was done with a Scotchbrite pad and coffee. Hope you enjoy and thank you.
