Alien bust - Anyone know who this is?

Just found this on Craigslist.

Any idea who the seller is or where the piece came from?

i have seen the pics of the bust before, but can't remember where. While I believe the pics of the bust come from Giger, The head in the pic by itself looks different.

I have a feeling that the Alien head is a recast of the Distortions Unlimited mask that was offered in 1979-1980.
I would know more if there was a better pic of the head.

The head and chest pics are from Martin Bower's site I think. I think this guy is claiming to make them to order... he says "two weeks to deliver" and offers options about how to have it built.

So you could be getting just about anything. :lol

Ok,

It ain't the Distortions Alien. Here is what that looks like:

Could it be a sideshow head? It doesn't look like the bust that it is pictured next to.

Another thought is, it is a copy of the Aliens head with the face sculpted on. The effects guy did one like that for Alien War.

Sweet looking, seems like I saw those pics on EBay but it would have been more the a year ago.
I had not thought of looking on craigslist for prop stuff before (bought a car and a motorcycle before from it - so I should have)
No Aliens on the Portland board but there is a 7 foot tall life size Jar-Jar Binks (almost as scary)

I May be wrong but the pics look like ones from Bob Burn's Holloween show from a few years ago. Don't remember who made it.

It actually does look like a Distortions head....We made that in the early 80's and I did a couple of custom jobs....opened the mouth, added a tongue and foamed the head for a few collectors back then. A few of them didn't have domes. But now that I look at it more closely it looks like a recast....bad paintjob too.

So I was right....kinda!

I had no idea that there were opened mouth versions.

Very cool! Now if I can find one for what they sold for originally!

So, this guy in Vegas is using pics of the original from someone else's site.

IIRC Burns' head was an original from 20th and he built the suit around it. I remember that Halloween show starring Walter Koening ...
