Tim League responds to proposed Texting in the Theater | News | Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

I'm grateful for the existence of Tim League as he continues to keep the high standard for the best cinema experience.

I am going to make sure I visit the Alamo Drafthouse during my next trip to US, hopefully the LA branch will also be open then.

I go to the Alamo in Yonkers about 15 mins north of the Bronx in NYC! I love it !!!

Thankfully the one small, locally owned, theater doesn't put up with this crap. Most of the texters go to the chain theaters who just don't care. Making a theater that allows texting would be nice if it'd get the morons out of the rest of the theaters so folks can have peace and quiet. They could ask you if you want texting or no texting and get sent to a showing setup for that.

I'm traveling from LA to San Francisco to watch my first ever Alamo Drafthouse show next month, Captain America: Civil War. Got my pint glasses ordered and everything. Can't wait.

I did text once during a movie. But I had the decency to pull a long over my head and body so nobody around me even noticed.
