Already have the replica bike & Kaneda fig pre-ordered! Overpriced, but so awesome!
As for the 1:1 scale version, I have been trying to score one of those full sized bike (scooter) kits for years, it's near impossible!

By "scooter" I don't mean the orange bike behind the Kaneda bike.
In japan they made a few Akira Bike kits. They are body panels that would fit over an exsisting scooter. They look pretty damn wild fro what they were.
If anyone wants to build me a working Akira bike, my check book is in hand...:love

The best looking version IMO, the one I posted that is actaully street-legal, which is a working bike, was made by a company called Neo-***uoka.(Ok seriosuly RPF, is this elemantary school? Censoring the first three letters is pretty stupid. The design shop that built it is Neo-F-U-Kuoka.) Origionaly it was commissioned for a display in Tokyo to promote the Manga I believe. It was also used for the cover art of the Akira Mechanix book that has all the concept art. Since then it's been shown at various places and was also used in several races such as the Auto Polis circuit, in Kamitsue. There's a couple pictures here before it had all the artwork.
Oh and that Sweatshirt is awesome but it's missing the 'Good For Health, Bad for Education' slogan.
