Hey, everyone, looking to make a LAPD 2019 Deckard blaster that bases around an airsoft gun. Look here to follow my journey, and concatenate advice from all of you on how best to make this work. My initial plan now is to base the gun around a Dan Wesson, or Cybergun CO2 revolver, and then modify Thingiverse files to add various bits and pieces and cut away unnecessary material. The largest concern I have is with the CO2, and trying to find a gun that has a slim enough unit for that, and won't show in the clear grips. One idea is to put it under the front barrel with the Steyr magazine, and then get like a CO2 tire pump and using other pieces to route the gas back. Who knows. Anyways, I'll be looking into it. Feel free to use this thread to give me advise, I'd love to help each other out. Should be a fun journey!

Okay, I think the Elite Force H8tr might be a good base as it is cheap, made of plastic, so cutting will be easy, and features a low profile co2 container, and 10 round disks which would be hidden by the famous metal door that covers the cylinder on the PKD.

IIRC, there are some airsoft revolvers that take green gas into a reservoir in the cylinder, if you really want to keep the grips clear.

People have used Win Guns and HFC K-frame revolvers before and while possible, the result is a stretched out blaster with large gaps when using parts from an existing kit. Ideally you'd want a J-frame to keep dimensions more or less spot on. If you're fabricating everything from scratch, you can simply adjust the scale to be 10-15% bigger making it like older kits.
