Airbrush help

I want to start airbrushing latex masks I make however I have a few questions about airbrushes and compressors

I am thinking of using a passche H for the basecoat on the masks and then detail work with a Iwata eclipse HP-C

I also have the opportunity to pick up an older (1991) Badger 380-6 88PSI .7 CFM compressor for cheap but not sure what its worth or if it would be powerful enough for what I want to do. Previous owner used it for painting model kits.


Are the airbrushes good choices ?

Will the compressor work if so how much should I offer for it ? or do I need to buy new ? If new whose make and model?

I am making first steps in airbrushin and I started from cheap kit with airbrush and compressor with airtank. Then I upgraded to Neo for Iwata(do not make this mistake ) and now I am using Evolution Cr plus from H&S with 0.4 nozzle. I it a lot better to work with this airbrush then last one. I think the nozzle is very important if you want to use it for latex.

Being new to airbrushing myself I purchased this kit. I've watched a ton of DIY videos on youtube and then just started with trial and error. The things I have learned is, always keep your brushes clean #1. A good compressor makes all the difference #2, Make sure your paint is thin for the nice even coats #3. Have Fun with it! Just remember that it takes time and a whole lot of practice to get good at it. Even with others says its Awesome, you may still never be happy with it so that's why you have to enjoy what your doing.
Now on to your questions: Latex masks are hard to paint but can be very rewarding when completed. I used acrylic paint with Pros-Aide as an adhesion promote. It has worked great for me so far.
