Advice on measuring the correct amount of casting resin for rtv mold?

can anyone of you guys give me some tips or advice?

ive made a 2 part mold using rtv silicone.

and ive got some polytek 60 casting resin ready.

but im not sure how to measure exactly how much casting resin to mix?

should i just pour some rice into the mould and see how much it will take and then use that as a way of measuring?


or do you guys use another method?

If your original model can handle it, put that in water in a measuring jug and measure the displacement.

Whatever method you use, mix slightly more resin as you will inevitably end up with some that won't come out of your mixing bowl.
