Addams Family Props?

I have Christina Ricci locked in my bedroom.

And I have a cast of the hand of the actor who played Thing.

I'm sure some people would like a run of Christina Riccis...

Having a cast of Thing is really cool though! Do you have any pics of it?

Ever thought of doing a run of them?

I can take so pics, yes... It is still unfinished raw resin with some severe mold lines, but is cast in flesh-tinted resin. It came with a COA with the actors name and a copy of his signature.

My casting skills are far too meager to do a run...

That is really cool! I definitely would like to see some pics of it! I have been trying to find any props from the film out there but they are few and far between.

My casting skills are also....well nonexistant. I wouldn't know where to begin but it gives me a huge amount of respect for those that are skilled at it.

Oh, MAN!!! My plate's pretty full right now, but put the word out! I'm sure somebody here would jump at the chance to do that! :):thumbsup

That is really an awesome piece! Thanks very much for the pics.

If you ever decide you want to sell it, I'd be interested!

Most likely will hang on to it. I've had it for years. If it weren't for that damn mold seam, it would have been done and painted years ago.

Yeah those seams aren't the cleanest but the whole piece has great potential to be finished out easily.

I'm amazed at the small details and texture of the skin. If you ever get it finished it'll make for a great display!

And there in (of course) lies the challenge - sanding out the darn seam, yet retaining the detail... :unsure

Yeah I suppose it would require some fine etching to carry over the textures seamlessly once its sanded down...a tedious job.

Well nevertheless, it's still a cool piece whether it's ever finished or not. Thanks for sharing!

Personally, I would display it as is. That way it's obvious it was a casting of his hand.

You can sand the seam down as close as possible, without getting into the skin detail, then make some mini texture stamps with latex of the skin texture from the surrounding areas. Smear on a thin layer of putty, and while the putty's still soft, stamp the texture back in with the texture stamps. :)

...Also, you can probably mold it with an extra stretchy silicone, that would allow you to make a one piece mold, that would just pull off like a glove, and would make seamless castings. :)

The finger trap was one of the coolest props in the movie version... Has anyone tried to eproduce it?:confused

I always thought it would be kewl to have a "Cleopatra" plant or the fish trophy complete with diver's leg..

Heh! Yeah, I've thought about that one too! :lol:D:lol

(although the two headed Galapagos tortise would rock too!)

I always wanted to recreate the train set but very limited images of the kind . I have seen the layout but that and the venus fly trap plant would be my two favorite.

Anyone know of any props made from either of the Addams Family films? Or even if anyone has any screen used props? They had such cool art direction and designs that I figured they'd be a good source for some interesting props and collecting...

I own the polar bear mount seen in the first ADDAMS FAMILY movie...

Coincidently, it is the exact same bear that was used in the original classic TV series...
