Adam Savage Bubble Mask

Hey guys, I was watching Mythbusters the other day and the guys had some really cool gas masks on. They had five straps on the back and the top part looked like a big bubble. Any help here would be great.

Wow, I did not know you replied Adam. Must have missed it. I seen a glimpse of it as i was walking by the tv one day. They were masks with carbon filters on the front. Black silicone and covered the whole face with a clear bubble.

I saw one very similar just the other day in the surplus part of a local tactical store.

No, they looked like a ball. Like a ball cut in half.

That's the same I got, it's the Scott Vision 2 RFF 1000 with a single filter cartridge in front or sideways in the Vision 3.

The air force used a clear bubble type mask when the old split eye style was phased out, called the mcu-2p

I don't know the episode. I don't even remember what they were using it for. More of a bubble though than an egg shape.
