Ace Ventura. Alllrighty then!

I wanted to put together a costume for Halloween this year that wouldn't break the bank like previous years.
Something simple, fun and recognizable.
Ace is something I've wanted to do for a while.
I am currently working with Risu to get a good fabric print made through Spoonflower for the 1st movie red pants.
The shirt won't be a specific match to any of the multiple floral shirts worn in the movies, but will have a good look anyway.
Still on the hunt for proper biker boots, but here is a "hair test" I did the other night, thanks to Layrite hair pomade..
Not bad for a first attempt...

Okay, finally found an inexpensive pair of biker boots that are good matches to Ace's boots.
All I need now is a white tank and some sunglasses and I can soon take some test photos to share here.

I saw a couple Aces at DCon last weekend, including the one mentioned before in the tutu. He tried to climb into a cardboard box he found by the bar. A little off topic, but I had to share. The whole costume is looking great so far. Looks like you're one pair of pants away from the complete look.
