I've been asked to do another run of the accessory kit. I will only do enough for those who order by Friday April 24th, see below for more info:

We've learned a few things doing this and I'm altering the kit just a bit, the new kit will include:

The kit includes:

- 2 red LED strips (for the eyes). These strips can be cut down to fit in the eye rings. They have 3M tape on them and will easily just stick in place. You can either run with 3 LEDs of with 6 LEDS, be sure to only cut every 3 LEDs
- 2 eye rings. These rings will glue into the back of the eyes (as was done in the real movie helmet) and will provide a place for the LED strips to go into
- an on/off switch for the LEDs
- a 3D printed switch holder that can be glued into the inside of the helmet. It's been designed for easy soldering and running of the wires.
- a 9 volt battery clip
- a strip of wiring to complete the circuit
- a strip of 1 1/2 inch flexible strapping (to hold the front of the helmet onto your head). In the 1st run we included some hooks, in my experience they didn't really help, I ended up just gluing my strapping to the side of the helmet, no "hooks" needed.
- 8 rare earth magnets for attaching the back. We used velcro 1st run because we were worried the magnets may not be strong enough, in my experience, they've been great, so I'm now including magnets

All this is still available for $30.00, no shipping if bought with helmet. If not, $10.00 shipping anywhere.

So, I need from you:

1) A commitment to buy, in the form of a PM (to me rgriesbeck) with the title star lord accessory pack, please include your real name too, so I can match up to PP
2) A PP payment to rgriesbeck@sd35.bc.ca of $30.00 (and I'd prefer friends & family). If you've already got your helmet, please add $10 for shipping and include your shipping address

do you know the color of the lenses coming with the helmet....was thinking of going to the local tap plastics and having a piece of black tubing cut, purple rear lense and clear front lenses to make the eyes, then add a re-flective coating on the inner purple lense ......with your led kit, would only need clear and purple lense....what do you think....im in the first run for the helmet......

Sorry, I meant to say...
Are You supplying the Eye rings with the Helmet, if this kit ISN'T bought though...?

Ahhh, no we weren't planning to. The helmets eyes will of course be included, and if you aren't lighting up the eyes, you probably don't need the eye rings...

No those won't be included. It'll be the 2 main pieces, the "fuses and side pipes. And probably the thin plastic discs you can use as "lenses" but they will just be thin clear plastic discs.

We're still working on that, will let you know soon, hehe - see above

one question I have is, when I recieve the helmet, in your experiance with casts....would you us a dremel or a hole saw to cut out the eyes to get them round and the right size without any faults....shaking hand etc....

So if someone didn't buy the helmet you guys designed, they could still buy this kit to be modified to fit within their own helmet correct? Basically, this accessory kit isn't limited to just the people who bought your kit.

If that's the case then I am in as well.

Would you be willing to put up some kind of "how-to" with this kit? If so, count me in.

Yes, it's pretty easy

As long as I can supply enough for my customers, I don't see an issue. As long as you know these are designed to fit our helmets, you will have to modify some parts

I'll let TheRocketeer answer that, my thought it careful drilling then a spindle sanding, but he's more experienced with helmets than I am

Yep I would just use a dremel and get it close then file/sand the rest..should be pretty easy :)

IF by any chance you do make a few more helmets at some point, then I am all in.

This is an impressive project and and I love the idea of this accessory kit.
