I'm working on some instructions for the accessory kit. For now, if you're cutting the LED strips, cut after the 6th LED (from the wired end).

Quick & dirty schematic:

Warning: there is nowhere enough room for 6 leds in the ring, but if you cut it to the appropriate length (5), then only half of them light up.

So without any further guidance I'm not sure how useful this kit is.

Did you see the post above yours? It clearly says cut after 6 LEDs, which fits the included eye pieces quiet well, with a slight overlap

TheRocketeer has tried a helmet with 6 leds in each eye, and apparently burnt out a cornea. So, give 6 a try, but you may want to go down to 3...
