AbbyShot Mad Max Badges Review

I recently ordered the MFP badges from Mad Max sold by AbbyShot. I've seen badges offered on e-bay and some by known recasters, so I was pleased when Entropy posted a link to the website. http://www.abbyshot.com/products/ps-mad-max-pins.php

The shield measure 3 inches by 2 inches and is very well made with a lot of weight behind it. The shield is held in place by a large sturdy pin clasp. The front design has a nice antiqued bronze finish to it.

This is the force number given to our hero "Mad Max
Rockatansky". This one had the biggest surprise for me the badge it measures 2 inches by 1/4 inch and has a mirrored finish to the front and the stamping for the letters and numbers is deep enough to prevent the enamelling from wearing off if you polish the badge two very secure butterfly clasps on the back will hold it in place.

Last on my list, but my wifes favourite is the shoulder badge. Measuring 2 inches in diameter as with the force number badge the enamelling is well done and nicely finished. Like the shield this has a strong pin clasp on the back.

All in all the set of badges is well worth the money and would make an excellent addition to a badge collection.

**EDIT**
From my wife. I forgot to mention that the pictures really don't do the badges justice. They look a whole lot better in person.

Many thanks to Wackychimp for hosting the images for me.

My camera is down at the moment. The photos used in this review are copyright by and used with permission of Mark at AbbyShot Clothiers, Thanks Mark.

Those are cool looking badges.
You know, after all this time. . . I realize I don't know what MFP stands for.

That'd be Main Force Patrol. :)

wish I could find a reflective decal of the M.F.P
Main Force Patrol

my bike needs it

Nice stuff

A long shot but worth a try. Do a image search for Mad Max and or MFP. I did a while back and stumbled across a fan site that had MFP shields, MFP, PURSUIT and INTERCEPTOR decal for cars.

I'll poke around and if I strike lucky I'll post the link here.

For decals, try www.madmaxcars.com. Also, check the forum at www.madmaxmovies.com, as some members will announce sales/auctions of MM stuff.

For my part, I found the badge set amazing, but the pin they used on the back is pretty weak. I bent the heck out of it trying to get it through the jacket, and the pin won't fasten securely anymore; I suggested to AbbyShot that they use clutch back fasteners or even threaded screws.

I'll post my review of AbbyShot's jacket "A few [days] from now." I know you're all dying to read it.

I pre-hole my riding jacket with a dental pick. The pins on just about every badge I have had were pretty weak. I also crazy glued the backer, other wise they would sometimes pop off of the thick leather.
