I have not taken apart my last AA P2 - so I am not certain if my solution will work.
I was looking at a photo on another thread about an AA P2 that was taken apart so it could be upgraded and the plastic P1 lock bar appears to have a wedge on the top. This wedge engages with the pull pin triangular cut out in order to disengage the P1 lock bar. So my first thought was - can these wedges be reversed to have a push pin instead of a pull pin?
There are two problems: (1) The material the lock bar is made of and (2) the wedge shape on the lock bar. So if a new lock bar can be made with a new wedge shape and the prop makers who currently manufacture the standard pull pin out of brass will make my design push pin - I think we can have a GJ Hero P1 lock pin that you push to release (the P1) instead of pull.
