AA case begins

As to how I paid less the retail?

The irony here is that after this comment was posted long ago...

I sent AA several emails with questions, with almost all going unanswered... The only ones he replied to were ones that I suggested I was interested in purchasing... Some were even set from anonymous email addresses so he had no identifiable link back to me, so I can say his lack of reply wasn't personal... Never once did he offer a discount of even a single penny, even when I inquired...

I believe for anyone to have got the discount price or priority purchasing advantage there is a little more to the story...

Hmm.

Guys, let's not argue about who did or didn't do what when.

The truth is out about AA. People know now. Playing out personal grudges with people who were on the other side at this point doesn't help anyone.

The truth is out, Mr. Justice Mann will rule, and this will finally be done.

So make up, shuffle up the teams, and get ready to fight about something new.

Best of luck!

Exactly my point Flynn and then to have Lord A claim that it never even happened. As well as call me a liar in the process makes you wonder what's up.

Still stands. I like how you kept that screen cap but not what I said later. Very selective Ben...and disappointing. I guess your animosity against me was greater than I thought. Have fun with your imagined conspiracies Ben.

Like was said before, nobody wins.

Mike I have no animosity for you. But you are the one that claims that I am lying about you getting a helmet for under retail. I don't take kindly to anyone calling me a liar. I bring out the proof and you can't own up to it. The only conspiracy I see here is you claiming it never happened.

Oh, the lie isn't that I got a discount, I did and I've explained that one several times in past threads as to how. The lie is that you constantly claim I got the discount because I was supporting and/or advertising for AA and he cut me a deal to do so, and of course whip out that capture. That's the lie, and it still stand because you are still claiming that even though I explained it.

And I'm sorry Ben, but what else can I think about how you feel about me when you keep pushing that over and over again? No animosity? Sad really as I thought we were friends, and I always enjoyed being around you at the conventions and having fun at them when I was able to go.

That's what I meant by nobody wins. Gino's right (yes, Gino and I agree on something :p)...there have been a lot of good relationships, friendships, and even just friendly acquaintances ruined because of some white plastic helmets. It's actually very sad when you put it in perspective.

Mike, I'm a little confused. First you write this:

You know Ben you've brought up that lie about the discount helmet before and I've refuted it before, even showing my original quote which showed I never got any discount.

And then you write this:

Oh, the lie isn't that I got a discount, I did-

I'm sure you can see why anyone would be confused...

Mike first off when I have a debate with anyone it's never personal. So lets not confuse the things here. I am always going to speak up against anyone if I disagree with their point. Just because someone is my friend doesn't mean I am going to keep my mouth shut if I don't agree with them. Calling me a liar on the other hand is getting personal and crossing the line. You have had a tendency to change up your story at times during this AA debate. And this is a perfect example of the case. And for the record if I ran into you at a con or event things would be the same as always.

As much as I enjoy a few years of arguing :unsure, I really hope we don't have to go through something like this again in the hobby...let's stick to just collecting...it's safer, and it's not worth it to lose a friend.

I'm just wondering if you guys wouldn't mind arguing thru the PM system.

Half the folks reading this don't know anything about 'discounted helmets' or Moogy.
I thought this thread was about the AA court case - at this rate it'll be closed before the verdict.

Youre missing the point and Im not arguing for Matt or Gino or anyone else being warm and cuddly human beings. This isnt the Prop Den and its not a thread about Matt (or Gino). I see this same thing on other boards wherein certain individuals use every thread as a segueway (Im guessin at the spelling on that one) to take shots at OTHERS that they have an issue with and then claim that it was somehow pertinent. Its not. And its disingenuous to pretend it is and insulting to think that others dont see it for what it is. Braks post was very thoughtful and well written right up until he brings up Matt and then the wording changes at it becomes a snarky snipe. We have AA to snipe here so lets leave our feuds with the OTHER folkd elsewhere...

Go look at TE's post on the propden if you want to see a jerk

Absolutely...this was my point.

I hate to say it, but ALL of the posts regarding banned members need to go. This thread is NOT about them. I have been very magnanimous about the whole crow thing, but right now, it seems like the Pro-AA crowd is trying to turn this around to focus on issues that do not apply to the thread. Again, it's about the AA case, his attempted theft of credit for work he did not do, and the outcome of the case, which we should know about soon.

Good points. I think a lot of the bad feeling also stems from disappointment. I was looking forward to AAs stuff and had that same WTF reaction. I was excited about original molds etc. Then I saw what was being sold. I was disappointed and angry. The initial excuses I remember were that it was all in teh assembly. Of course that was bull. Then the other stuff started flowing and my disappointment was magnified by finding out what a sheisty SOB this guy was. When I really got mad (and this is my weak spot) is when he continued to lie in the face of facts and assumed that we were stupid. Its like on that show 'Cheaters' when they confont the cheating spouse with videotaped undeniable evidence and the cheater STILL denies it. "If you werent cheating why were you kissing her like that?" "I wasnt kissing her...she was choking on a piece of meat and I was trying to dislodge it with my tongue".

Strangely I agree with everything Gino says here...I think that sums it up for me rather concisely...

Here's some stuff I just wanted to put out there. These are my own scattered random personal feelings about the topic at hand.

-I never had, nor do I now have hate for AA.

-The SDS situation has always been a hot topic because there has been so much unnecessary debate over things that were crystal clear for people like me and a few others from day one. And despite all our attempts to communicate what we knew, it fell on deaf ears to a good number of people.

-There is nothing more frustrating than knowing the truth about a subject, and have people not believe you, or worse ban you from a forum (prop den :unsure) for (sometimes painfully, yet unintentionally) pointing it out to them. I realize my posts can sometimes be considered offensive, but most of the time it is just my frustration directed at specific people.
I'd much rather have people believe what I'm saying 'in the now', than to be able to say 'I told you so' years later.

-I do not have hate for the pro AA people. Just frustration that they didn't have faith in my knowledge. Also that they didn't believe that my desire to have access to accurate pieces FAR overrides my desire to make them. Anyone who knows me on a personal level, can tell you this was never about competition, sour grapes, etc..
In other words, we all had the same goal (to have the most accurate pieces possible in our collections), but they just couldn't get past their personal issues with me to see what I was saying was true.

-Had AA actually had the molds he claimed to, I would have been his #1 cheerleader, and every trooper piece in my collection would be from him.

-The most significant thing that separates AA from anyone else in this hobby, is that he basicly was saying the trooper was his design and not LFL's, and that he had every right to do whatever he wanted with it. I don't know of any SW prop maker who would EVER dare make such a claim.

-I can't speak for others, but I never viewed AA as competition. My extremely limited handful of helmets/armor made available to friends or trusted collectors is no match for someone involved in a full business production. Nor did I, or would I ever want it to be.
If ever I were to be involved in a all out business production on anything, it would ONLY be in conjunction with a licensed company. (I've just never been asked).

-My personal issues with AA stem from:
1. Him lying about the molds (and my disappointment that came with that revelation).
2. Recasting fan produced trooper armor and calling it 'original'.
3. Taking credit for Liz M. sculpt.
4. Being the cause for such contorversy, fighting, and damaged personal relationships with people I used to be cool with.

Hopefully in time, some of that damage can be repaired. It already has with some and I'm thankful for that.

I dont want to have to come on everyday like this, and I let it go last night. Seeing as someone else has reposted your quote...

Evidently you are misinforming the RPF and are making out you have no clue why you were banned.

Also, don't act like you are correct on everything GINO, your not. Nobody is and I have enough evidence to embarass you with your past errors if this arrogant attitude is not contained.

I apologise to the readers that have to suffer this.

Actually Paul, I know EXACTLY why I was banned there. And everyone on your forum should be ashamed for it. In fact, a good portion of them are, but don't post their feelings out of fear of the most biased clique of admin/mods on ANY prop forum. If it took my banning to expose your clique for what it is, then it was worth it.
I only brought it up in my other post, because I found a correlation to the SDS situation. History repeating if you will.
It evidently is a pattern for people to want to squash dissenting views when faced with painful truths about items they are either financially or emotionally invested in. We all know that is the real reason behind your motivations, and is why prop den has no credibility as a free discussion forum.
In other words, if someone is mistakingly going there looking for accurate information, they are barking up the wrong tree as they will only get the viewpoint that the admin/mods enforce. And since the admin/mods are very often wrong in regards to discussion there, it makes for a sad state of affairs.

Sorry for seemingly going slightly OT, but there are lessons to be learned from the SDS fiasco in the big picture of things.
