The pics show that your sword has an oval-shaped pommel. Did the ranger sword from LOTR have that same shape? It always looked circular and symetrical to me.

BTW, can't wait to see it finished.

the sword will be FINISHED tommorrow and i will have pictures to post.

well the battery in Peters Camera died, so itll be tommorrow before we see finished pictures of the whole sword, so the only one he was able to send me today is a shot of the yet to be polished chape on the scabbard....... notice how the tip of the scabbard is acorn shaped like the pommel.

You do realize one thing? We would love to have a pic of you holding the blade, with a big ear-to-ear grin...

Oh dang . Oh well... looking at pics is nice too .

Tell me... is it me, or is there another ring on the scabbard? What's the purpose of the four rings anyway? I thought one just wraps leather straps around the belt and scabbard like in the LOTR movies. Thanks in advance for answering.

Yes, there are 4 rings, so it can be hung left or right handed....
