Here are some new props I got that I wanted to share.

First up is the AA TMP Phaser that I decided to putty over the holes and do a repaint to a more correct color. I didn't do anything else to it, but might at a later date.

Next up is a TAS Communicator I got from a member of another board. I got it unassembled in hopes to make the gold pieces out of brass. But I just didn't think it would look right with a wooden body. Maybe with some kydex shells or something, it would work. Anyway, I redid the moire "ring/disk", the moire pattern, and control knobs to lose the "wooden" look.

This is a midgrade phaser I picked up from someone on another board. This was created by measuring and studying a real mid-grade he has access to. I love the size and finish of it. It is made out of fiberglass, hand brush painted, and has a few metal parts (like the nozzle and trigger). It feels great in your hand, and the shape of the P1 is amazing!!

Thanks fellas. I am about to start thinking of how to light the screen. I'm doing some research now.

Great Farnsworth! :thumbsup

I also like that wooden communicator, very cool!

Back in my early days of prop building, between paper/tape and resin/metal periods, I did a lot of wood props. Wore out a small band saw making all kinds of stuff. :lol

The farmsworth would look better with a smooth screen, but i still like it.
The phasers and the communicator also look very cool. You could try to hide the wooden look with primring it a a few times, as long as it takes to hide the grain.
All in all, very cool stuff.
