A Christmas Story Prop Display

I have been collecting both authentic and replicated props from A Christmas Story movie for many years now as part of a holiday display.

this year is no different and I love locating unique items from the movie that no one else has (leg lamp, bunny suit, bbgun) I have those by default.

this year I’m trying to track down an exact replica of the ZEPPELIN toy given to Ralphie’s brother at Christmas. There are many vintage toy models out there but none match the size, material, scale, labels, even tail wing shape. If anyone knows where I can get a replica of this exact toy that would be great!

and second I’m attempting to recreate Ralphie’s “Christmas Theme” submitted in his 4th grade class. In the movie it appears to be written in a version of “1940s-1950s Big Chief red writing booklet” but all vintage versions I find doesn’t look like the one in the movie. I cannot get a clear enough image of it to get more details from the movie. My goal is to get my hands on a reproduction of this style writing book and rewrite Ralphie’s theme for my display. Any insight or assistance I can get with this would be great!!

Decoder Ring from Christmas Story

Was the Little Orphan Annie Decoder ring used in the movie Christmas Story a actual piece or made up prop? I seen a few on ebay, but they dont resemble the one in the film.

I too am looking for the zeppelin which is incredibly hard to find. I had a lead on one but it tuned out to be a Marx and not a Katz. The seller was telling people it was the same type that was in the movie and sooner or later someone is going to buy that

I made the soda pop sign he shoots his eye out with in the backyard. Lol. Sadly it's still not done.
