'87 Dodge Truck to Slav 1 Conversion

Hey guys. Been thinking about posting this for a long time, but never got around to it until I built up the nerve to actually tackle the project. Well, I finally started on it, I'm turning my '87 Dodge into Slave 1. The pictures aren't great, considering I have to use the webcam right now. (Four year old nephews and cameras don't mix well).
Anyway, as of now it doesn't appear as though I've done a whole lot, even considering I've worked on it three days straight, the majority of that all is prep work to get it ready for paint. But here's what I got.

With the quality of the pictures, it's hard to differentiate the colors, so I shall explain.

I painted the hood an off-white color:

The fender, red (obviously) and green.

The inside of the tailgate I was going to paint all the camo green color, until I took the inlay thing off and painted it a darker green:

The tailgate:

I'm going to try and tackle the cab tomorrow before I have to go into work. It's been a little hard to find time to get this done, but I'm putting as much of my spare time into it as I can. Once again, sorry for the lame quality pictures. I'll try to get some better ones should the chance arise.

This could very well work out stunning! Good luck with this, really looking forward to more pictures...

Thanks, Chaanks. I'm getting up bright and early before I have to go into work to get some more done on it. That prep work eats a lot of time. Kind of bums me out that I can't get some better quality pictures up, but I gotta work with what I got. I'm looking forward to showing it's progress.

Thanks, guys. I got a little done on it today. Work and the Texas heat kept from getting a lot done. I just cleared out the garage to bring the truck in so I can start working on it at night. I'm about to head out there now as soon as I recover from the daunting task of moving a pool table with no legs attached by myself.

Also took a few pictures of todays early progress before I get to working on it right now.

Got the panel right above the hood painted green:

The top of the cab painted green:

And some yellow detailing. This was all I could get done before going into work.

Hey guys. It's been a few days, but here's what I've got done so far. I pretty much finished the cab, minus all the details it's going to need. Plus a few things came up this weekend that caused me to get less done on it than I would have liked. To me it seems as though the projects taken a turn from, Dodge to Slave 1, to almost a Boba Fett transformer. Anyway, pictures.

Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

I'm eager to get it done. I am at a halt right now. I'm out of red and green paint, and won't be able to get anymore until later on this week. Then I should have it done before the week is out, I think. Maybe not the details, but the main colors.

I can't tell from the pics, but is there, or will there be a big dent in the hood?
All you need is a Carbonite Solo in the back.

There's a dent on there haha, but it wasn't really intended to be. The chord that releases the hood broke, so we had to pry the hood open, leaving a good dent in there. When everything is done I plan on painting a bantha skull on the hood.

Well guys, like I said, (very) long time no post. Going through my old stuff I dug up this thread, and thought, "why not an update?"
I had gotten all the main colors finished, along with the bantha skull on the hood, but sadly never got around to doing much else with it. As I remember, winter rolled around, got too cold to be outside to finish the small details and by time the weather was good I'd lost interest.
Tragedy befell my bantha hood, the cable that releases the hood had broken which led to the hood flying up and bending itself over the cab at 70 mph. It was later replaced with a rusty blue one.
Last year I got a new car as well. The ole' Dodge is at my dads place.
