72" S S D

Here is the upper skins and armature for my 72" Super Star Destroyer build. With this side nearing finalization and I can get into the really fun stuff, the cityscape LOL. I'll be fitting the lower plates later today and then I can notch out the ribs for the upper and lower recesses.

With this side will under way I am looking at a project end sometime this Dec.

And one for the size of this bugger

Thanks guys! I'm still working to get the bottom mounted and once thats done I'll post it setting on it's build stand.

It's bolted to the bench via the mounting point. This way I can keep it balanced and move the electronics around to compensate any weight issues. Now I can finish the fantail armature extension.

No the SD will only be around 7" at this scale. I'll be building two little ones to display with it. And no kit here she's a one off client build.

I think it would need to be about twice as long again to be in scale with the Ertl. That's a rough, rough estimate.

Even at 6 feet, I couldn't begin to figure out where to put it. Very, very impressive...
