'50s style Superman?

Doh!

Does anyone here make or know where I could get a 50s version (George Reeves) of the Superman suit? I'm not looking for a high-end piece, just something that looks different than the available Rubies suits; I hate the 3-D "Returns" logo, and their standard suits look silly with the "drawn" belt buckles. Or is there a company other than Rubies that makes licensed costumes? I'm not sure Ben Cooper is around any longer...

I found the below link but it's a LOT more than I'd want to spend. Thanks.

Damn, that guy is greedy.

Yeah, that's too much $$$ for that suit, and it's also a Kirk Alyn movie serial style, not GR.

The suits really aren't that difficult to make. The Reeves costume was made of wool. Here's a pic of the B/W and color costumes for the upcoming film Hollywoodland:

Although they have the later color season logo on the B/W costume, it still looks llike a pretty nice repro.

After I posted that link, I found a nice history of Superman suits site and saw that it was indeed the Kirk Alyn version (I thought that logo looked too skinny for the Reeve suit).

Anyway, these "Hollywoodland" suits look GREAT -- thanks for posing. Too bad Rubies(.) won't make a line of these in addition to the "Returns" one they sell.
