5 Deadly Venoms Masks

]Has anyone ever seen a recreation of the Deadly Five masks ?? After watching the movie last night, it came to me that the masks would make for an awesome collection!

I am a huge Shaw Brothers fan for my Kung fu...

I am a huge Toho fan for my rubber suit real life monster flicks.

Avenging eagles

I too, would love to see/own good quality replicas of these masks. Not only to display, but of course you'd be tempted to wear them too. I loved the movie. It is strange but for the older kung fu flicks it seems they are either great and fun to watch, or just absolutely horrible to the point of being unwatchable.
 
A set of those would be killer. I would love to take a stab at those some day if no one makes a set before I finish my other projects.
Now I am going to spend the day looking for mask forms for a starting place.
 
They were chinese opera masks and painted that way for the movie.some searching will be easy to find the masks for the base.
 
Deathstalker - HAHA, You know how I think. If I can get caught up on other things we might have to get together and figure these masks out.

Metalzeus - Yeah, I have been searching for some nice chinese opera masks online as a base but they are either cheap and flimsy and mishaped or very pricey.
Maybe a trip to Chinatown is in order. Too bad I didnt think of this when I was in Hong Kong a few years ago.
 
Hey everyone im actually in the process of making the set of masks. I did a little googling to see if anyone was interested and found this thread. I have 3 of the 5 done so far and they look beast. Wayyyyyy better then the paper cutouts in that link above. For the set it will be anywhere from 50-100$ i havent decided yet but they are taking me a friggin long time to reproduce, over a hour for each mask!. The quality of the movie is so bad that its been a nightmare trying to make them exact. And forget about googling any movie images because there even worse quality or the other masks ive seen people try to make have not been exactly like the movie ones. The ones im making are on a hard plastic, not hard like the annual jason voorhees masks you see everyyear on halloween but a slight flexible plastic that will break if you do something dumb like sit on them but not flimsy and wont fold over. Heres the very first test mask i made of centipede, this one was done in marker and the final will be done in brush paint. (except for tiny small lines will be done in black marker like the middle)

Open to suggestions and thoughts, good or bad let me know so i can work with trying to make people happy in what there buying. When all 5 are done ill have more pictures and also ill make a video

sorry these took forever i been trying to buy a house. got the templates done. ill be working on them next week if anyone wants some. ill have a video up soon. heres a flick for now
