Hello SSF members:lol

From now on, I'd like to make the 3 footer SD in my SW museum.
As you know, it was used numerous parts as the sand...:cry

I'm searching the part ids as accruate as.
Please help me with your knowledges

To START....

Ok...TAMIYA RACE Cars..... Tamiya Waterline Ships.

Start buying them. Which ones?

ALL OF THEM.

The ONLY way you can Build something studio accurate...is to look at ALL the kits available when the item was built.

If you are gonna rely SOLEY on "SOMEONE HELP ME IDENTIFY THIS..."
You might as well Just scratch build it and make everything up getting as close as you can.

Amazingly you will make a ship that looks just as nice if you get your proportions right.

Good luck and Dont give up its an Incredible experience.

Well said, Frank!

I believe that proportions are more important than individual details when building a Star Destroyer. And, as Frank said, it is an incredible experience.

Hi Frundefly, ringa:)

I appreciate deeply for your valuable opinions.
I also agree to the opinions.
First of all, I will trying to make the frame of ISD ASAP.

Hi Treadwell:)

thank you for your kind reply.
I got some information for it.

thanks eric.

I think the first pic, and part in the right circle could be waterline, possible Yamato? Its a trident shaped part? Hard to see as the pics are so washed out.
Im sure i see Tamiya Rodney used on her too. The front of the bridge (edges) definately some armor kit detail, maybe Bandai and Tamiya?
Like its been said, bag a lot of F1, armor and waterline kits, they are used.
I do know the tamiya 8rad chassis is used in the mid brim trench recess

Not really Rick, a lot of donors on that ship are still quite popular, many of them re popped too in the past few years, so itll still work out an expensive overall, but wow, so worth it!
Thats is until some ass goes and starts hoarding hundreds of donors so no one can play.
CK had a quick look at that one tank chassis piece on the upper port side, Jay is on the right path, maybe small scale german armor, poss bandai, airfix, esci???? Anyone?
If i ever get a chance to look, ill see what can be found, its somewhat of a maze lol.

Ok, sorry... i would say, 1/600, 1/700, 1/450, 1/720, 1/542, 1/570 Battle ship/ Aircraft Carrier kits... 1/25, 1/35, 1/24, 1/76 armor kits... 1/12, 1/20 F1 race cars... some 1/25 car/truck kits... and so on...:D

The 3rd pic is very close to a 1/72 Panzer 3 M chassis.

The SD part has what looks like 5 raised circle numbs along the bottom.

The Panzer part has 3 raised and 2 indented. If you are counting the raised circles on the SD from left to right, the Panzer part has circles 1,3,5 as raised and 2,4 as indented.

Also for the Panzer part to work you would have to cut off the section where the main gear gets attached. That would be the right hand side of the SD piece.

You also need to trim just a little bit off the left side and the bottom to get the part to fit flush.

Other than that, the detailing of the SD part along the top matchs Panzer six pins used to hold the inner tank wheels, including the small vertical piece just below the 4 inner pins.

The oval piece on the far left of the SD part matchs the part on the Panzer for the rear gear.

The two vertical pieces to the left and right of the first and last raised circles on the SD piece are consistent with the shock towers (?) on the Panzer piece.

Also-remember when purchasing the waterline series to get the old tooling-many of them have been retooled!
Also-the part in pic #3 looks like the track from the Airfix 1/72 Matilda

I can eliminate some kits that are NOT a match:

1/72 Heller Churchill
1/72 Hasegawa Sherman
1/72 Airfix Scorpion
1/72 Airfix Panther
1/76 Fujimi Elefant
1/72 Esci/ERTL DS. KFZ. 251/7
1/72 ESCI/ERTL SD KFZ 265

...although a couple do have similar parts.

Hey Jay I think In picture 1 there is a cut piece from the Hasegawa 1/72 sherman-placed on top of some other part
